The Leopard Mani
SPOTTED AT THE BLUSH OFFICES:
THE LEOPARD MANI Whoever said a leopard can't change his spots never saw a proper leopard-print mani. Here, blush Buyer Amber shows us how it's done! You'll need:
Step 1: Apply your base coat and then, your base color. Make sure you let this one dry before you start with the spots! Step 2: Create your puddles! For the leopard spots, make one puddle of gold and one puddle of black (Easy clean-up tip: use post-its for the puddles.) Step 3: Tap your toothpick on a hard surface. This will help flatten out the top, enabling you to pick up more polish for your spots. Step 4: Dip the toothpick into the gold polish and begin to make gold messy spots on your nails—4 or 5 on each is just about perfect.
Step 5: Once all your gold spots are in place and dry, grab the other toothpick and begin to add the black. You can create a squiggly line around the spots—be sure to leave spaces, as you don't want to close them off completely. The messier the better! Step 6: Now for the stripes! Take two pieces of scotch tape and stick them to your skin once or twice. This will help make the tape less sticky, so it won't remove your polish. Then apply to your nail, leaving a gap to be filled in with polish. Amber did one stripe in gold and then, once it dried, she repeated and added a black one. Step 7: Once your spots and stripes are completed, go over your nails with your top coat. Voila! You're ready to rock your custom DIY mani! Comments:
