For a more formal look, try to make the sections even and pull each one tight as you weave. You can use a comb to even out the parts, or you can use your hands for a more casual, disheveled look.

To make your hair more manageable and easier to braid, use a de-frizzing and volumizing setting spray like Warren-Tricomi Volumizing Setting Spray.

1. Gather your hair in a low ponytail and secure it with an elastic band. Pull the entire tail end onto one side.
2. Divide your hair into two sections.
3. Gather a small portion of hair from the outermost part of the left section and add it to the right section.
4. Do the same on the other side. Grab a portion of hair from the right section's outermost part and add it to the left.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you reach the end of your hair.
6. Move the elastic band to the end of the braid to secure.
