Of focus around the beauty and cosmetic scene in the past 12-18 months has been the development of the men’s sector. It’s an industry that's seen a huge boom and will grow again in 2013, with many brands not just going for unisex products, but catering specifically to men. Everything from product names, to packing and marketing, designed specifically for the modern man, said to now take greater pride in his appearance. John Allan’s isn’t one of these bandwagon hoppers, rather one of the pioneers in men’s grooming since 1988.

Although each man has his realities when it comes to grooming and appearance, we all seek a balance in all facets of our life. As the case will be however, grooming and taking care of our appearance can take a back seat. So, what products are beneficial and essential in my day-to-day life? Obviously with men’s products hair care features strongly, and I’m not just talking about the hair on top of the head, but the beard as well. Here I’m constantly looking for help, and I know these can often be the common problem areas for many men.

Styling product

With thin and flimsy hair, styling will forever be the thorn in my side. Shampooing and conditioning only makes my hair softer and more stubborn, flopping down over my face wherever it chooses. There’s an ample amount of gels and waxes on the market, but nothing quite like John Allan’s Tough Fortifying Styling Paste. This unique paste is formulated for even the most unruliest and stubborn hair textures. Plus, it’s not like you’re putting in a random wax formula either, as a conditioning paste feel free applying a generous handful of product after you’ve hopped out of the shower.

Shaving

Now for my biggest time consumer, shaving! As individual preferences go, shaving would be the number one for routines, techniques, and OCD traits. For so long I’ve had problems shaving that now I just can’t get enough of this solution, and so I apply a generous layer before shaving with ease. Simple packaging, easily dispensed, and in the end leaves your skin feeling like a baby's bum, what more could you want?
