Vitamin C - A Key Ingredient to Healthy Skin

Our bodies require much more than just food and water to thrive. They require certain quantities of nutrients in order to maintain optimal health and longevity. Our skin, the largest organ of the human body, is no different. The skin is subject to daily bombardment of harmful chemicals, UV rays from the sun and other environmental dangers such as second hand smoke and extreme weather conditions. Getting enough vitamin C into the body is fairly easy in our society today. Eating plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables is the number one method to do so.
