| | I lost all teeth on the right upper side and didn't have them replaced for a few years and the skin on that side of my face got stretched out and now i have partials the sagging still exists. African Black Soap (liquid) |
| | I have been searching the net for African black soap for acne. A lot of people have said it has cleared their face. So I picked up some black soap (liquid) by Uncle Harry's ( natural skincare) I have used it for 4 days and it has helped a lot and its fading my dark spots. I was wondering if I should continue to use this, its a soap and I know that's bad right? Also some days it leaves a slight oil shine on my t-zone so I skip the moisturizer , I have been using the MD Forte Replenish Hydrating Cream, maybe its too heavy? I have used brands like PTR, MD Forte, jack black, Zirh, Neutrogena, Miessence, etc, I have been thinking about trying Glytone or Cosmedix but the black soap seems to be helping , I just don't know if maybe I should add maybe a toner ? gel moisturizer? THANKS |

I have been on a skin programme for a few months and skin consultant has given me 4% Cosmedix refine. I find it very fluidy and never know if one pump of the liquid or 2 is sufficient as one barely covers my face, will I need to use this forever ans my skin is really responding to this product and very smooth, but I do have lip lines as I am a senior, will this help.

Argain Oil Combined With Renova Retin A |
| | I am a 46 year old female with normal to dry skin (more on the dry side using retin a). One week ago I started using Renova Retin A (0.05%) every second night. I was on Retin A a year ago. I stopped using retin a after I finished my 20mg tube due to a very dry skin condition. I would like to know if applying 100% organic argan oil after cleansing in the morning followed by La Roche Posay SPF 15 moisturizer will slow down or interfere with retin a...The reason why I would like to use argan oil along with retin a is to hydrate the skin more so the skin looks more dewy and glowing skin instead of dry skin...
Do you recommend using argan or any other oils with Retin A to eliminate the dry effect of retin a.

| | Hi, about two years ago I took acutane to clear up my acne. I had been acne free from May 2006-December 2008. While I was on acutane I took orthotricycline as a birth control. I went off of it for 6 months June '08 to Dec '08. I began taking it again and within a month of taking it my acne came back. It is just concentrated around my chin area, (where it was before) and I'm afraid that it is due to the birth control medicine. What is the best birth control to take to get my skin back to normal. A milder one or one that is not specifically for acne? Thanks |

| | I have had a milia on my right upper eyelid for many years. I have noticed that lately it seems a little bigger. I have never had any pain or problems out of it until lately. I also had thyroid surgery about 6 months ago and have gone through a lot of hormonal changes. I had another milia show up under my left eye just this week. I have avoided doing anything to the larger milia for fear that I might make it worse or infect my eyelid. It is mostly cosmetic and you can barely see it through makeup but, over all I'm just concerned about having to do another surgical procedure in as many months. Thank you for your time. Laura |

Severe Alergic Reaction To Something? |
| | Hi.I hope you reply back to my question.I have tanned before and every spring I go for few times to get some tan before I go out on the beach and I get little red and tiny bit itchy but it goes away pretty quickly and after second or third time,i don't get it anymore.Well, last 3 times I went I had bad reaction to something...First two times I did lay down and used same lotion(as last year)and had pretty bad reaction for about 5-6 hours but nothing as bad as the 3rd time when I did stand up bed for only 5 minutes using same lotion.
Symptoms were: Extreme itching, redness all over my body(there was especially huge/red/itchy part on my neck...there is still dry patch after two weeks of this incident), pain, nausea, dizziness,dehydration,BAD CHILLS.I almost went to ER, nothing I was doing was helping but then I took Ibuprofen and Benadryl and drank a lot of fluids!!! It helped but it took about 45 minutes for it to "kick in" and that night was long and difficult. I had chills entire night, itching calmed down after the meds and by morning I was ok. Redness had gone and itching almost completely. Felt weak and exhausted for days after this ordeal.
Not sure if this is from tanning, the lotion or what? I will never go tanning again but I only hope I am not allergic to SUN...I had similar reactions after being exposed to sun, but never like this and never so much.
Please help.

| | Recently i noticed red-ish black, lines under my nails.I thought it was dirt or something but as my nail grew out i tried to scratch it off, but it doesn't work i have to wait to clip it off. | | I am a 19 year old female. All my life I have had darker than normal toenails. The last 2 nails [pinky and neighbor] are also darker than the others. I went to my doctor to ask about Lamisil and she said it was NOT a fungus. Is there anything I can do to get clear toenails like everyone else and end this embarrassment? |

| | I have just started to take care of my face at night. I read an article that was telling us the basics of taking care of skin: clean,tone,protect in the morning, and clean,tone, and repair at night. (for the face).
I have a two-part question: Is it necessary to clean and tone the face in the morning, when I just did it at night?
2nd, at what age do you recommend for females to start using a night creme (repair and restore) with anti-aging properties? I have found 2 night cremes, and one has anti-aging properties. Is it necessary for me at age 32, or do I wait until my 40s to start using anti-aging products?
Also, do I need to put lotion on my body after each shower? I have not been doing this, and I was wondering if it's necessary or best for my skin? |

Retin-A Micro Issue |
| | Please help...I am 34 years old and applied Retin-A Micro under my eyes to help eliminate lines. I did this only once and noticed the next day under my eyes the skin looked red. MaMa Lotion And Refinity |

I had been using Refinity lotion for a long time and I was wondering if I should transition to MaMa Lotion. I do not find any improvements anymore with Refinity and am searching for something else as I deal with cystic acne, something that I have never dealt with until now as I approach my 30s. I am worried if MaMa lotion is too harsh on my already thinned out skin from using Refinity for an extended period of time. Also, do you recommend CosMedix to battle adult acne?
