Facial Sunscreen For Skins That Burns Easily |
| | I have very fair and sensitive skin that is damaged from previous sun exposure. I am 36 years old and trying to correct the previous damage while preventing new damage. I use Retin A at night. I like to walk outside during lunch and no matter what SPF or brand of sunscreen I use, I always return with a burnt face. My skin tends to be oily/combination (occasionally dry in places from the Retin A). Is there a sunscreen you would recommend for my face? Is there a sunscreen that not only protects, but also corrects wrinkles from prior damage?

| | Hi,
My skin is acne-prone and mostly oily, with dry patches around my mouth area. Do you have any recommendations for a good moisturizer to take care of the dry patches without triggering acne? also, I have been using Afirm 2x for a long time and was wondering if you would recommend I stick with it or should I try another nighttime product to prevent acne and wrinkles?

| | Hello. I always thought I had oily or combination skin. I recently had a facial and the woman told me although I have breakouts my skin is very sensitive. I just started accutane 10 days ago and the dermatologist told me to use a mild face wash but did not recommend a specific brand. I have whiteheads, blackhead, pimples and sometimes cysts. Can you recommend what I can use for a face wash and a moisturizer that can be bought over the counter in most any pharmacy? Also, should I be using a toner? Or just wash and moisturize? |

Skin Irritation |
| | My boyfriend is in prison. He along with other inmates has a skin irritation. The nurse said it was their nerves. It is spreading. It hurts him. He had tried A&D Ointment on it and an antifungal creme. He said the anti-fungal creme made it hurt worse.
It starts out as small red pimple like bumps the it festers up. It really itches. I have seen it. It is on my boyfriend's hand. The location varies on other guys. I thought it could be the detergent but it is only on my boyfriend's one hand. There are quite a few places on his hand. In between his fingers etc. But the worst spot is between his thumb and index finger. To me it looks like half of a ring-worm. He said he has not picked at it. When it itches him really bad he goes to the sink and washes is while he scratches it. His biggest spot is different colors. Kind of like when you get the corner of a piece of paper wet with coffee or tea. Closer to the tip is lighter and where it first soaked up the coffee or tea is darker. That part of his hand is real red.
I am worried it may be staph. I looked online for pictures of staph but nothing compared to his hand. I know it would be hard to say without seeing it but could you give me any ideas? What could he have that hurts when he puts anti-fungal creme on it? |

| | For close to 10 years now, I am currently 24, I have had very bumpy underarms. They cover the whole armpit area and are small but very noticeable, non-irritating, and the same color as my skin. They don't seem to get any better even when I don't shave and/or exfoliate for a couple of weeks. What could this be from, and how could I get rid of them? |

I tried a sample of Colorscience's sunforgettable powder spf and found it to be a little too chalky for my skin and it clogged my pores. Would Jane Iredale's powder-me SPF work better for me? |

| | I have white blotches on my arms and they are not itches nor red or scaly their just white blotches that dont go away no matter if i go tanning or stop from tanning..I have tried multiple creams for treating tinea versicolor and nothing has worked. i dont know what to do to get my arms one solid color they used to not be like this. my skin was normal up up untill i had Pityriasis rosea about 3 months ago. all those spots are white now.. |

KP/Dots/ Scars/Stretch Marks? |
| | Hi, I've already been to a dermatologist but he was rude and unhelpful. I live in a really small town, so I don't think we have any more in my area. But I have tons of questions!
On:
KP/Dots- Does oil plugging work for keratosis pilaris? What have you heard about it? I have olive to brown color skin and my KP is only on my upper arms, upper thighs and hips. On my arms, they are red and bumpy. On my upper thighs and hips they are dark brown. One of my mom's friends had KP and she just went out in the sun and hers are all gone. How is that? Also, on my calves I have brown dots everywhere surrounding the growth of the hair. They look like small polka dots everywhere! What should I do?
Scars -I poke my zits with a safety pin to get rid of the bump (I know that's bad but I can't help it!) but now I have tons of scars on my forehead b/c I keep picking on them. What's the best solution? I know there are surgical procedures but that's really last resort. Are there any over-the-counter creams or natural home remedies for this? Or any suggestions?
Stretch marks- I don't have many and they are very light. I have them around my breast and my arms. Is there anything I can do?
I know it's a lot of questions but if you could please help me, I would really appreciate it.

Raised Red Blood Spots |
| | Hello, Recently I noticed some what I will call blood pockets forming on my chest area.One is near my armpit and the other close to the top of my cleavage area. They look like tiny raised moles but bright red and appear to be blood filled. I don't want to bust it open, can you give me any insight?? I'm a little worried by their location, because I read somewhere that they could be busted blood vessels! Is that what you think they are? Should I go to the doctor?
