Thanks for your great advice on my other question. The bioclear lotion is working out great. I have been using the bioglycolic cleanser but am thinking of switching to the one for oily skin and just wondered if you thought it might be too drying for someone with combination skin. My t-zone needs blotting with rice papers at least once a day and I usually am pretty oily by the end of the day. I just don't want to over-dry my skin but would love to cut down on some of the shininess. I was using the c-esta serum oil control but have switched to another brand's c-serum so thought changing cleansers would help. Thanks! |

Acne Immunity |
| | I've been struggling with moderate to severe acne since I was 12 or 13. I have a ton of scarring and even at 21 I'm still battling it everyday. I've tried EVERY over the counter medication including some stuff prescribed by a dermatologist(Retin-a, Duac, Differing, Benzamyacine) but it didn't work long. I've started taking vitamins such as Zinc, Fish Oil and Flaxseed Oil to help the problem and I try to drink as much water as possible while remaining active but it WON'T GO AWAY. My whole life when I've tried creams and stuff they work great for a few days to a week and then stop being effective because I guess my skin grows immune to it. Am I ever going to be able to have clear skin?? |

Accutane/acne |
| | I'm currently on Accutane, but tomorrow my month's prescription will run out. I'll only be able to renew my prescription in a week. What should I do during the wait period? I was considering taking Vitamin A pills during that time, because Accutane is derived from it (I haven't taken any Vitamin A during my Accutane treatment). My concern is, however, that the Accutane could still be in my blood, and added Vitamin A could be toxic.
If so, do you have any other suggestions of what I can do during this week? |

What Can I Do About Flaky, Acne Prone Skin? |
| | I'm 22 and I'm getting married in a month. I've had moderate acne since I was 15, and I've tried every acne medication available - everything from accutane to proactive. NOTHING has ever cleared up my face. on top of that, I have extremely dry, flaky skin, but I have very small pores. I've been diagnosed by my dermatologist with eczema patches in 2 places on my face. I've given up on acne washes because they just make my face more dry and flaky and don't help the acne. I wash my face with Cetaphil morning and evening and I have ALWAYS moisturized my face with Aveeno daily facial moisturizer twice a day. It helps at first, but by the time I put on makeup, my skin is dry again. Washing my face (any contact with water - showers too) dries it out terribly. I use oil free mineral makeup. I can't treat the dryness with oily things because it makes me break out even more. could there be something in my water that's drying my face out more than it should? is there ANYTHING you could suggest that might be something that I haven't thought about? I've been to several different dermatologists and nothing has helped. I'm desperate to get this under control. |

My name is Lisa and I am 17; I have both dry and oily skin, which is worse for me than most teenagers. I currently use about 4 or 5 different products, prescribed and over-the-counter, but my dry skin is still horrible. I woke up a few mornings ago to a large, raw rash on my neck. I stopped wearing T-shirts when I sleep because the shirts irritate my skin, so I did not know why it appeared. I hate mornings like those where I don't even want to go out because my skin looks so bad. I want to know if you could suggest any products that could help my dry skin? Also, do you know of any products that are good for the acne on the legs?

Cover Makeup For Scar |
| | I'm a 23F with 2 half moon shaped scars under my eyes, I got these scars from an eye surgery years ago. Doctor took skin from another skin and placed it under my eyes. My scars have a light yellow color to them, they feel different compare to my skin as in dry, and they are uneven/disleveled. as in the scars are sunken in kinda, as in they are not a flat surface. I tried many different known brand name creamsto cover my scar. I used Maybelline Cover stick, Allay, Cover girl. Not of them help, either they don't last long, looks to light, etc. Can you suggest a good cover makeup for my scars, that would last long and maybe hide the sunken look of the scars? I heard of dermablend? I appreciate your input thanks!!! |
