| | I have a question regarding my current skincare routine. I have been using Dr. Hauschka (not listed on your website), for the past year or so, and just moved back to the U.S. at the end of May. I had been living in Germany for the oast year, where I discovered Dr. Hauschka. Ever since I started using it, my skin became balanced, even, and breakout free for the entire year. It was incredible! I would always have the hormonal breakouts along my jaw line, but nowhere else, and this is the only product line that worked. However, about 2-3 weeks after I moved back to the U.S. my skin freaked out. I started getting little blogged pores/bumps along my temples, forhead, and jaw line (which could be hormones too). But I am still somewhat having an issue and not sure if it's the producs i am using or what. Should I change skincare or stick with what I have been using. I am 24 with normal/combination skin.

Irritant Hand Dermatitis Or Pompholyx? |
| | A few months ago I starting getting an itchy, dry, scaly type rash on my wedding ring finger (white gold rings) so I stopped wearing them. This seemed to help. When it cleared up I would occasionally wear them for an evening etc and it appeared to flare up each time. Then it spread to my other hand. My fingers and parts of my palms underneath my fingers get incredibly itchy, dry, cracked and at times have small bumps under the skin that are tender to the touch. Sometimes when I scratch it's like a blister has burst and a clear liquid runs out. Each time it appears to be clearing up, it flares up again. At times if I run out of emoillient type cream, my fingers and hands crack and I can barely bend my fingers. How can I clear this up? I am a mother of two young children, so am constantly washing my hands, and the house, etc etc. We live in a hot humid country so when I wear gloves my hands sweat which aggravates it. Sometimes my fingers swell also! Please help. |

Stretching Skin And Hair Growth |
| | Meagan: I'm considering hair transplantation, and it involves the removal of donor tissue from the back of the head. I was wondering if, after it heals and skin starts to grow back/stretch, will the overall hair density return to the area or will it be minus those follicles for the rest of my life. Basically, do hair follicles multiply to cover as skin stretches, or is the number fixed, and they just get further apart? Thanks |

| | hi my names peter im 17 and had acne for about 5 years and its been a pain to treat. my dermatolagist gave me sum treatment to use and ive been using it for about for nearlly a year and its done basically nothing. i recently been looking on the interent for remadies and treatrments and i stumbled on the 3 day apple detox diet. so i started yesturday and ive been eating nothing but apples and water. i have 8 apples a day and drink tunns of water. im on the second day now and i was wondering weather you thinnk im doing the right thing and if not can you give me any advice on what you think i should be doing. also could you tell me when you think i could see results of the apple detox diet cause it says on day four after the diet. |

Acne |
| | I am 18 yrs old and on a special regime for my acne and my derm prescribed me benzaclin n minocycline...i use the benzaclin once a day n take the minocycline twice a day like my derm said...im also using cetaphil gentle skin cleanser n a generic cetaphil moisturizing lotion...so my skin is extremely de-hydrated and irrated from the benzaclin n i wait an hour before using lotion on my face to let the benzaclin absorb first but when i apply the lotion my skin starts burnin n stays burnin for a few hours...i also noticed my skin is breaking out from using this but im not sure if thats just normal...i need an exact regime like an order of what to use and when to use it...like what to do morning n night...i also have a lot of red and brown marks n a few pock marks from previous breakouts n im not sure if the benzaclin is making it worse? im really desperate i cant even look at myself in the mirror or take pictures of myself to send to my boyfriend ;( it makes me wanna cry...i would really appreciate the help...thank you! |

I have been to the dermo multiple times and the have performed fungal cultures which have come back negative. The strange thing is that my scalp is always red, achy, sometimes itchy when hot out and my hairline is beginning to recede. I have zero hair loss history in my family on both sides and am just looking for an answer. A year and a half ago i moved to Savannah, GA and have never lived in the south before. About 4 months later my hair began to fall out. I dont know what it could be! Im taking vitamins like a mad man and dont want to take rogaine or propecia because they both say "do not use if there is no family history". Please doc, whats going on? |

Flakey Skin |
| | Hi,
I have a problem with patches of very flakey skin on my face. I can’t seem to find a lotion that helps, particularly when I wear make up, it really flakes and shows. In general though my face is not overly dry. It is a bit acne prone, even oily in areas.
My routine is I wash twice daily with Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser, use a Balancing Toner (twice daily), Use a morning lotion w/sunscreen and then every other night I use Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid (for anti-aging & acne control). Also 1-2 times per week I use a more heavy duty exfoliating mask/scrub, I am always trying to find ones I like better-it’s usually something higher end that’s I read a good review about.
I could really use help with the flakes. Do you see anything I should add or remove? My concerns that I need to make sure I keep are products for mild acne and anti-aging.

| | I have cystic acne and have been fighting this for about 16 years or so. My dermatologist recommended Accutane but I don't like the side effects. What kinds of products on this site do you recommend that I try to help me with this acne problem? I am 41 years old and I would love to have a clear, beautiful complexion again but I don't feel that taking Accutane is the answer. Please help me get a beautiful complexion once again by suggesting what you feel would help me. I don't have severe acne but only mild to moderate.
