MaMa Lotion On Acne Scars |
| | I have some acne scars which is my biggest skin concern... I've had four pro fractional laser Erbium:Yag laser treatments done with dissatisfying results. So after a year, I just had another four sessions of different laser, this time, the CO2 pro fractional laser treatments done to my skin.
I've been using Mama lotion about a week after the treatment ended.. I'm not sure if I'm actually damaging my skin due to its harshness. There had been days when my skin had white patches... Although my dermatologist did prescribe me to Tretinoin 0.025% as post operative treatment to enhance collagen production, which I believe is just as harsh, so I made the judgement to alternate between tretinoin and mama lotion each night. Am I doing the right thing?
Would you recommend me to continue using Mama lotion to help with my indented acne scars? I obviously haven't seen any dramatic results yet as it's only been about a month, but will Mama lotion speed collagen to fill in the pitted acne scars in the long term? Or will these strong products hinder the collagen benefits that I will see with the non ablative laser treatments?

Clogged Pores |
| | So for forever I have had clogged pores. A few years back I had a series of microdermabrasion and one 70% glycolic peel. My skin was perfect after that. I am now doing micro again BUT from a school. My skin is peeling from it and I still have my major issues after 3 treatments spaced a week apart. My nose and chin has blackheads and my upper cheek has closed comedones. Also if I stretch my skin anywhere you can see that all the pores are clogged, yick. I also have an uneven skin tone and some evidence of aging. I am 31...I sound a mess, huh? Help! what products should I be using? What should I do?

Petroleum Jelly And AHA's |

I'm currently using a face lotion with 10% Alpha Hydroxy Acid, and it works great. However, I think I want to start applying a thin layer of Vaseline Petroleum Jelly on top of the AHA lotion to "seal in the moisture". My questions are, 1) Will the petroleum have any effect on the AHA's exfoliating action? And 2) Even if the AHA's still worked with a layer of petroleum jelly on top, wouldn't the dead skin cells then be "trapped" or "sealed in" under the vaseline, therefore requiring further manual exfoliation?

Redness Around The Nose |
| | Hi,
I am a 19 year old female and I have really difficult facial skin. My skin is rather sensitive (particularly to fragrance), acne prone, I have a very uneven skin tone and dark circles.
But what bothers me the most is that my nostrils are always really red. It looks like there are broken capillaries on my nostrils and I have plain redness around my nostrils as well. Sometimes there are tiny red bumps on my nostrils and sometimes they are red. My dermatologist told me it's seborrhoeic dermatitis, but it doesn't look like it to me and the treatment she prescribed didn't work (an anti-fungal cream). I never experience flaking. So what could this be? And how can I get rid of it? Can it be Rosacea? I don't have problems with flushing or broken capillaries on my cheeks though. |

| | Hi. I discovered that the Hydropeptide Growth Transformation serum contains retinyl palmitate. So is it safe to use this product while I am using MaMa lotion? Can the Hydropeptide transformation serum be used on the mornings of the days I use MaMa at night? Or would that make the skin more sensitive?
Or would you suggest alternating these products every night? Also what is the amount of retinyl palmitate used in Hydropeptide :significant or negligible?

I am a 26 year old male. I have had pimple since I was a teenager about 13 or 14. I have had them constantly since then. I would class it at moderate (I always have some). They are mainly on my face. They come and go but I seem to always have them. Being now 26 years old I can't figure out why I still have them. They drive me crazy. I have tried millions of things, scrubbing my face, using soap, and not using soap, special lotions and even changing my diet, but nothing seems to work. Is there something I can do? Dry Skin Of The Face |

| | I'm 30 years old and never had a problem with my face breaking out. In the last 6 months to a year it has started breaking out mainly around my chin area and now the lower sides of my cheeks. I've always had flawless and clear skin until recently. I've tried proactive and it helped for a little while then it was back to breaking out. I've actually scarred my face up pretty good picking at the pimples before they actually become a pimple because I'm not use to having them there. HELP! |
