scalp rash

Question

For the past few weeks, maybe 4, I've had a rash of small red bump all over my scalp. I thought it was a reaction to a new hairspray i was using, so i stopped using it about 6 days ago. The rash looks a little better, but it's still there and it still itches. Is there aything i can do to help it heal faster? Thank you for your time.

This certainly does sound like a reaction to something that has contacted your scalp. It should improve on its own once the problem substance is no longer in contact. Prescription cortisone solutions may speed up this process so consultation with a dermatologist in your area might be helpful.

Red bumps on my scalp by mr guy man
Hi,
I started with a few red blotches on my upper forehead about 2 months ago. They only showed up after a hot shower and went away after cooling down. A few months later (now), they seem to be bumps like small pimples, but not acne (which I had a as a kid) they now seem to cover most of my scalp primarily where hair would be. I do shave my head daily...but have done so for about 5 years with no problems. They seem to get irritated when taking a hot shower, or shaving my head sometimes. I have tried Hydrocortizone cream, and am now trying peroxide. I am not using any different soap and or shaving cream. It is not razor burn, as I had a bit of that a few times, but like I said no problems with that for years. If I wear a toque, keeping my head warm, they seem to surface more. If head is dry and cool, they don't seem obvious. But it still seems to be spreading, quietly, and is noticable with heat and/or shaving. I can't pinpoint anything that different in my diet. Any suggestions. thanks
