Get the Look: Giuliana Rancic's 2011 Oscar Updo

Create your own Oscar-worthy look with Alterna. Check out our step-by-step instructions on how to get E! News reporter Giuliana Rancic's gorgeous updo from the 2011 Oscars.

1. Apply Alterna's Bamboo Smooth Kendi Pure Treatment Oil to damp hair and blow-dry straight.

2. Add additional texture with a 1" iron by wrapping small sections of the hair away from the face to create "beach-like" texture.

3. Gather the hair into a high ponytail leaving a little height in the front and pulling the sides tighter. Secure with an elastic band.

4. Lightly tease the ponytail into a textured poof.

5. Create a large bun and secure with French bobby pins. This look is inspired by YSL's Fall 2010 fashion show.
