Q: How was Personal Microderm started?
A: Two partners from the Atlanta area who sell, renovate and market microdermabrasion and laser equipment to Doctors felt that there was a need to offer this service to the general public. They were driven to find a simple hand held tool that would give similar results to what their very expensive machines did. This tool that they envisioned was to be used personally at home. They believed it could be built and they assembled a team to build it. Thus, the name Personal Microderm.
Q: What goals did the founders have when first setting out?
A: The underlying goal was to make a small tool that performed well and was affordable to the masses. Microderm is expensive and is widely used by those who are more affluent. It has not been something that the general public has either chosen to buy or can afford to buy because of the cost. The results are what really make the difference. We focused our goals on results, ease of use and price point.
Q: How do the founders' backgrounds create an advantage for the brand?
A: The founders are in the Laser and Microderm business. Full time. This is what they have done for many years. One is an Esthetician who helped bring microderm to the U.S. from Italy over 25 years ago. She is managing a very large spa in the Western U.S. now and still uses our tool. The others have been selling and repairing laser and microderm equipment. Because they have spent years tearing the machines apart every day, they know the inner workings of many of the most expensive and most popular machines. They understand the science behind the process very well. This knowledge has helped substantially in the design, engineering and function of the Personal Microderm. The advantage of our system is that it is easy to use, very compact and convenient and costs much less. It is the only one of its kind on the market.

A: Ease of use, suction, aluminum oxide combo for effectiveness, and price.
There is no other tool on the market that is small, convenient, simple to use and combines suction and crystals to exfoliate the skin for the price. We have the best price and the most convenient way to use the tool. The results are similar to the very expensive machines used at the doctor's office.
Q: What patented technologies or special ingredients can be found in the products?
A: This process was patented back in 2005 and is unique because it is the first and only hand-held device that combines the vacuum, which pulls the collagen and blood flows to the skin, with an exfoliating disc that uses a grit to take off the stratum corneum (the top layer of dead skin). This is the combination that has been used in the professional microderm world for many years that makes it work so well. Personal Microderm had now made it convenient, safe and affordable for home use.
Q: How has the brand progressed over the years?
A: The product is new as of May 2010 and is just now being introduced as a viable alternative to the other products on the market that are trying to achieve microderm results without following the science behind it. Momentum is growing fast and will continue to grow in the coming year.

A: This is brand new. We are discussing plans to formulate and introduce a complimentary line of topicals that will create an amazing system for achieving the best results.

A: Personal Microderm: Unique , patented and works phenomenally well for the price. The unit costs less than two treatments at a professional's office. The savings is substantial when you consider the fact that a series of 8 to 12 treatments will cost an average of $800 to $1500.
Q: Who is your target customer?
A: Our target customers are women from the age of 35 to 65. Personal Microderm certainly can be used by men and women of all ages who have acne, enlarged pores, light scars or skin issues that microderm can help.
Q: What is the main inspiration behind the brand’s product line?
A: Our main motivation was to make available a credible and effective skin tool that the general public can afford to purchase and use. We wanted to share with the masses something truly effective that the rich and famous have had access to for many years. Intended for home use on your time and convenience.
