About Bioelements
Bioelements was started by Barbara Salomone, one of the first ever licensed estheticians in the United States. Barbara started out in skin care education in 1985 when she opened the Conservatory of Esthetics in Chicago. The Conservatory of Esthetics was founded to provide advanced education of skin care and makeup to estheticians in need. At the time Barbara Salomone started the Conservatory, there was not any type of advanced education available for estheticians, thus making The Conservatory of Esthetics educations courses highly sought after. After five years of offering these classes and from hearing what her students had to say, Barbara Salomone realized that a superior and highly developed skin care line was needed. Barbara Salomone introduced a line of skin care to fit the demands she knew estheticians and consumers wanted and needed.
Bioelements ensures their product line by being the only line to have every product formula overseen by a PhD in Pharmacology with a Master’s degree in Cosmetic Science. They offer a range of products that can be custom blended to fit the skin needs of the consumer. Bioelements targets each person’s needs with a system called Biotypes. Biotypes are a simple way to categorize your skin types and its conditions. Biotypes help you, the consumer, to understand what products are needed. Biotyping is based on your skin’s oil production level. Everyone’s skin differs; some are extremely oily, some are both oily and dry, and some are not oily at all. With Biotyping, you determine whether or not your skin produces a low, high or combination oil production level. After determining how much oil you produce, you then select your Biotype. Biotypes range from Definitely Oily to Definitely Dry, providing the consumer with a range of products for their Biotype.
