"The MD Forte Core System for oily skin is great if you require daily exfoliation to keep your skin clear and improve its texture. I think the glycolic acid formulation is fairly potent yet it did not irritate my skin. I've been using the product for 3 weeks now and the breakout I was having when I made the purchase has mostly cleared up and my skin is noticeably smoother. Just prior to this product I had been using Proactiv for 5 months and had not seen an improvement to my acne, which I've struggled with for years and continue to struggle controlling it as an adult. Frustrated, I decided to try something else yet again. I've used MD Forte products in the past and remembered my skin reacting well to it. I stopped using it when I changed employers and it was not available through the dermatologists under my new healthcare plan. Until I recently discovered Dermstore, I thought it was exclusively available through dermatologists. I'm glad I have access to it again! It is better for my skin because it is exfoliated twice daily with a liquid rather than a scrub. Unless a scrub has super super fine particles(and they very rarely do, no matter how much the product maker may claim), it aggravates my acne. I haven't experienced this with MD Forte. I'm hoping that with continued use MD Forte will not only continue clearing my breakout but fade hyperpigmentation and acne scarring over time. I will continue using the formulation in this kit for another two or three months, as MD Forte recommends, then upgrade to the next strength level. I'm confident that with consistency and patience, my skin will look better and better in the coming months. The one drawback to this product is although it's intended for "extremely oily skin," which I have, my face still gets shiny within 30 minutes of washing. The oil control factor could be stepped up a few notches in my opinion; however, my skin truly is unusually oil so there's probably a limit to how much any product I try can impact my biology."
