Elta MD Elta Tar: An effective treatment for psoriasis and dermatitis on the skin and scalp.

Description: This high-powered formula features 10% topical coal tar solution in the Elta MD moisturizing base. It provides relief from the itching and discomfort associated with psoriasis and dermatitis. Free of sticky or greasy residue and strong odors, Elta Tar supplies healing and control without the common drawbacks of other anti-psoriasis products. The moisturizing base imparts superior hydration, leaving skin calmer and more comfortable.
Recommended Use: Apply to affected areas one to four times daily or as directed by physician.
Active Ingredients: 10% Topical Coal Tar Solution (2% Coal Tar, Alcohol, Polysorbate 90) In The Elta Moisturizing Base.
Inactive Ingredients: Petrolatum, Paraffin, Mineral Oil, PVP Eicosene Copolymer.

"The product is very good for me. I have used it from time to time since 2007 and it really helps me to control psoriasis. Only steroids could help before. But sometimes I feel that skin is tired from the ointment and I have to make a "vacation" from it. The thing that my wife does not like is the scent of the Elta Tar. Of course it is not a plain tar smell but nevertheless is still not so good. As for me, I am more tolerant to it :)"
