Detailed Tips: Always use a matte shade for contouring! If you try to hide a double chin by using a contour shade that has a shimmer in it (like a shimmer bronzer for example), it will attract light and can actually make that area look bigger!) Use a buffer brush or firm blush brush for applying dark contour shades. Use a powder brush for applying your highlighting shades.
Slim or Straighten Your Nose: For a Slimmer, Straighter nose, use a brush no bigger than the width of your pinky finger.Apply your contour shade straight down each side of your nose. This creates the natural shadow and appearance of a straighter, narrower bridge. Follow by applying a thin line of highlighter straight down the center of your nose. This subtly attracts light to the straight line, creating the illusion of a straighter nose. Bring Out Your Cheekbones: To bring out your cheekbones and reduce fullness in your cheeks use a buffer brush to apply your contour shadow directly under the entire length of your cheekbones. Follow by dusting on your highlighting shade directly on top, along the entire length of your actual cheekbones. Contour Your Double Chin: Use a buffer or blush brush to apply contour shadow (3-4 shades darker than your skin color) under your entire chin, stopping just below your jaw line. Make sure to blend your contour shadow into your neck! The contour shadow creates the illusion of depth and a decrease in size!
Slenderize Your Forehead: Use a buffer or blush brush to apply contour shadow (3-4 shades darker than your skin color) around the entire outside perimeter of your forehead, from the hairline and in about 1-3" (depending on forehead size). Make sure to blend your contour shadow into your hairline. Next use a powder brush to dust your highlight shade to the center of your forehead.
