I've always wanted to help people and after a bout with a serious skin problem during my first year of medical school, I was drawn to specialize in Dermatology. My skin problem was so uncomfortable both physically and psychologically. After a visit to a trained dermatologist, I was surprised at how quickly you could help someone with such a debilitating problem. What I love about dermatology is that in a single day I can see all ages and genders, from infants to ninety year olds. It is very rewarding. I've always been a people person and being in dermatology allows me to communicate with individuals on a medical and personal level.
