With backgrounds in the grooming and fashion industries, the line's two founders spent years distributing products to friends and family before receiving the positive feedback and recognition needed to launch their own line. With high-end men's barbershops and spas in the Washington D.C. and Northern Virginia vicinity, they offer full service skin, hair, nail and relaxation care for busy men. Meet Grooming Lounge Representative: Mike Gilman

Michael Gilman is the Founder & CEO of Grooming Lounge, the country's definitive destination for men's grooming services and products. Launched by Gilman in 1999, the Grooming Lounge is comprised of a best-in-class web destination, iconic Barbershops & Men's Spa locations (in D.C. and Northern Virginia) and barber-formulated Grooming Lounge products (created and tested in the company's shops). Gilman grew up in the men's grooming space, apprenticing within his family's salon distribution company and later working as a marketing leader at John Paul Mitchell Systems. The idea for Grooming Lounge arose out of a desire to find a destination where "regular guys" could feel comfortable getting the products and services they wanted... but were often too embarrassed to ask about in female-dominated...
