Keratosis Pilaris
 Keratosis pilaris is a common skin disorder in which the openings of the hair follicles become filled with hard plugs. Commonly found on the upper arms, thighs, and sometimes the buttocks. It generally appears as small, benign bumps or papules that are actually waxy build-ups of keratin, and resemble goosebumps or 'chicken skin'. It often affects children and young adults and is not contagious.
Keratosis pilaris is a genetic condition and is not curable;
however, in most cases, symptoms can be controlled with the
proper skin care regimen.
