Lactic Acid

Lactic acid is an Alpha Hydroxy Acid. It is a colorless, organic acid compound derived from milk sugars. Lactic acid is said to be an important Alpha Hydroxy Acid because it helps to exfoliate the skin and improved the appearance of the skin. Although lactic acid is found to be fairly gentle on the skin, it is aggressive enough to see and feel results with use. Lactic acid has extremely hydrating properties, therefore is commonly found in products such as moisturizers.
