I am 54 yrs young, live in the Arizona desert and have mature, very dry, sensitive skin from hair, scalp, face & body. Are there and brands or combination of brands to help relieve the dry itching skin I have, especially in the Winter? I have just started usual Aveeno body wash as a shampoo to help my stinging scalp. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Controlling dry skin in the desert in America is challenging. Mild soaps (Lipikar, for example), superior lubricants (Lipikar again, for example), warm not hot water, showers under ten minutes and avoidance of fabric softener sheets in the dryer all will help. Pure shampoos such as DHS Clear or Free and Clear may help the scalp. Topical steroid scalp applications may also be helpful. Let me know if you wish more suggestions and if you have other questions.
