Chances are we have the answer to your skin care question. growth factor mediaQuestion Hi, I'm wanting to try a new skincare line. I'm interested in Skinmedica, but don't understand what human growth factors are. Can you help me with that? Also, which would you recommend between a Skinmedica serum or CE Ferulic? I'm currently using the Skinmedica retinol product. Thank you, Michelle Guyett Answer The SkinMedica retinol products are fabulous. I'd advise to keep using those at night--and be sure to use SPF during the day!
As for the serums, I think you're referring to SkinMedica Vitamin C + E Complex versus SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic Both are great products! A couple of differences: the SkinMedica product offers vitamin C in both lipid and aqueous forms, making it slightly more suited for super sensitive skin than the Skinceuticals product, which contains 15% L-Ascorbic Acid. I personally use the SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic , but have tried the SkinMedica product and really like it. Another main difference is that the CE Ferulic contains the antioxidant Ferulic Acid. It's thought to offer some additional protection against environmental damage.
Growth factors, like the kind found in SkinMedica TNS Essential Serum were intially used in skin care to heal burn victims' skin. As for the role they play in beauty products, they're just really effective at helping tired, aging skin rejuvenate. Frankly, the SkinMedica TNS Essential Serum is an unbelievably amazing product. It's pricey, yes. But it's totally worth it when it comes to anti-aging. If you opt to try it out, don't stop using your retinol.
