It never really did, and now the area is red and tough to the touch. It seems as though the area around it is getting a little tougher as well (like there is fluid underneath my skin??). I have been washing my face with Neutrogena and tea tree oil-based products and using a light moisturizer as well as tea tree oil directly on the blemish, but nothing has changed. Do you think I should go to the dermatologist? That kind of freaks me out, so if that is your recommendation, what do you think I should expect? Thank so much. Answer Well it sounds like a papule or pustule that hasn't came to a head yet. But if it's been a long time and it seems irregular I would make an appointment with your dermatologist. Do not pick at it as this may spread the bacteria or infection. Also picking your face leaves scarring that may never go away.
