Q does the beta hydroxy acid make you photosensitive like Glycolic acid and if it does how long does it take for your skin to be back to normal, anti photosensitive? and does the upper layer go forver? or its replaced? and if you keep using it will it take out all the layers eventually and theu you stay without skin ??? please reply to omarmerei@gmail.com thanks
A

Yes, most the time you starting using a BHA you will be photosensitive, especially if you have not used it before. It varies for each person, as far as how long it takes your skin to adjust to the BHA. Usually about a month is normal, maybe less maybe more. The upper layer of the skin is always replaced. Its called your cell turnover rate. From the time we are born to mature adults are cell turnover changes, but we constantly shed our skin cells. No your skin will not completely shed, unless you use something extremely aggressive and something like that must be done by a dermatologist, administered professionally. Best skin care wishes.
