I have been told to use the Duac at night and the Diffrin in the morining. I wash my face with Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser for normal to oily skin. My problem is my skin is very dry especially around the mouth,nose,eyes. It is so dry it is stiff and feels like it is going to crack. I use a moisturizer everyday. Before using the above my dermatologist had me on benezclyn but the same occurred. So I was put on the Duac. These all clear me up good but the dryness is unbearable. What am I doing wrong. She tells me to continue what I am doing but this is uncomfortable. Answer This type of reaction is normal. If you've been using the new prescriptions only a short period of time, give it awhile longer as your skin should acclimate to the products within a couple of weeks. The first thing to remember is you must avoid the sun while using these products. The sun will only dry you out more and cause premature aging. You may also want to try a different cleanser, one that is more hydrating such as Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser or B.Kamins Hydrating Acne Wash.
