Sunscreen

Question
Hello. I've read that sunscreen should be applied every two hours. However, what if i apply sunscreen in the morning, and don't go out in the sun until 5 or 6 hours later. Would the sunscreen still be effective? In other words, does sunscreen become less effective when it is exposed to the sun, or just when it's on the skin. Another thing, I've noticed some acne on my face after using sunscreen. Is there a brand that you would recommend for acne prone skin? Is there really a sunscreen that lasts all day (AS Durascreen claim)? Thanks a million!
