glycolic acid

Question

Hi, I'm using a glycolic acid cleanser at night and I'm wondering if I can be able to use it around my eye area and on eye lid? I 'm 26 years old and already see wrinkles and fine lines around my eyes so I wanted to add retinol and glycolic acid to my regimen. I would like to try Glycolix Elite 10% glycolic acid cream. Do you think that will help with my enlarged pore and blackheads as well as wrinkles? I know that you are not supposed to apply Retinol products on eye lid, but can I use AHA wash or CREAM around delicate eye area( including eye lids)? Thank you for your help.

Answer

I would be cautious using this product around the eye area. If you do use this near the eye and on the eye lids I suggest washing off quickly to avoid irritation. Incorporating an exfoliant like the glycolic acid cream is helpful in removing superficial skin and debris which in turn addresses black heads and allows the pores to shrink to their normal size.
