clogged pores

Question

So for forever I have had clogged pores. A few years back I had a series of microdermabrasion and one 70% glycolic peel. My skin was perfect after that. I am now doing micro again BUT from a school. My skin is peeling from it and I still have my major issues after 3 treatments spaced a week apart. My nose and chin has blackheads and my upper cheek has closed comedones. Also if I stretch my skin anywhere you can see that all the pores are clogged, yick. I also have an uneven skin tone and some evidence of aging. I am 31...I sound a mess, huh? Help! what products should I be using? What should I do? Thank you. Jennifer

Unfortunately with most types of skin concerns there is not one answer or treatment method. It can be a process finding what works best for your skin. First keep in mind, the skin changes. Your skin may simply be more prone to comedones and milia (blackheads and whiteheads). Our pores are a major concern for most consumers. The pores on our face actually become larger as we age, and are not something we can permanently reduce. To address the blackheads I recommend you consider regular facials including extractions as well as the proper at home regimen. Regular cleansing and exfoliating will assist in reducing blackheads.
