MaMa Lotion on acne scars

Question

I have some acne scars which is my biggest skin concern... I've had four pro fractional laser Erbium:Yag laser treatments done with dissatisfying results. So after a year, I just had another four sessions of different laser, this time, the CO2 pro fractional laser treatments done to my skin. I've been using Mama lotion about a week after the treatment ended.. I'm not sure if I'm actually damaging my skin due to its harshness. There had been days when my skin had white patches... Although my dermatologist did prescribe me to Tretinoin 0.025% as post operative treatment to enhance collagen production, which I believe is just as harsh, so I made the judgement to alternate between tretinoin and mama lotion each night. Am I doing the right thing? Would you recommend me to continue using Mama lotion to help with my indented acne scars? I obviously haven't seen any dramatic results yet as it's only been about a month, but will Mama lotion speed collagen to fill in the pitted acne scars in the long term? Or will these strong products hinder the collagen benefits that I will see with the non ablative laser treatments? Thank you.

The active ingredients in this product are often suggested post-treatment, thus I think it's fine for you to use this product unless otherwise stated by your dermatologist. To my knowledge these ingredients do not assist with scar healing, but they are natural exfoliants, thus they will encourage cell turnover. Best skin care wishes.
