Can sleeping on your side cause wrinkles?

I'm 40 almost 41 and sometimes I sleep on my side. Sometimes I'll wake up with some deep lines on my cheeks and side of my face. They take hours to go away. So far they thank god haven't become permanent. I'm going to get a silk pillow as I heard this can help. I've tried sleeping on my back but it's just to hard. But if I try to avoid sleeping on my side and don't get these terrible lines when I wake up. Am I in the clear or have I already done the damage from sleeping on my side? Any advice would help. thanks

Sleeping on your side is like facial expressions. It's a constant effect on the muscles which can definitely lead to wrinkles. It is best to try and sleep on your back if possible as any strain on the skin such as this will contribute to wrinkling of the skin. Best skin care wishes.
