Adult Acne |
| | when i was in the fifth grade i had acne all over my forehead. small bumps under the skin. at that time i was told to use clinique soap and I don't know what else. i have never had this problem again until now. i am 36 and i have small red bumps under the skin that never develop on my forehead. there is a lot of them! I have been using pro avtice and it helps a little but it never fully goes away. I also feel it is making my skin produce alot more oil than it use to. Please... can you tell me something that is affordable that would clear this up and then also something that I could use as a daily regimen to keep my normally great complexion? |

| | hi, ia m 29 yrs old and have had trouble with my skin since i can remember. i always have an oily sheen on my face with dry flaky patches. i am on diane 35 and take zinc as a supplement. my questions are... my skin was clear for awhile and is now really bad,can aha/bha cleansers make it worse,does comming off diane 35 always mean bad breakouts.why do cleansers only work for 6mths or so and then stop, how come when my skin is clear if i squeeze my pores on my chin or cheeks or nose white stuff comes out? please help I'm desperate i don't leave the house call in sick to work and hide from my husband

Adult Acne And Masks |
| | I have had acne off and on during my adult years. I am now 31. I have it mainly on each side of my chin. I was using ProActiv but found that AcneFree from University Medical works just as well. However, I began using a mask (Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask) that is supposed to draw the impurities out of the skin. It seems to have made it somewhat worse and my question is this: Will it eventually draw out all the impurities and my face will then be clear? Or will it just keep making the breakouts worsen? I do not believe that I am allergic since I did use it on the rest of my face with no problems. Also, if the cause is hormonal what options do I have to correct it? I am currently on Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo. I have been since I stopped nursing about a year ago. I did take Ortho Tri Cylcen before that which I know is supposed to help with acne but I still had the same issues then too. |

| | I have mild adult acne in T-zone and am prone to oily skin. I'm looking for a skin care routine to address acne, oily skin, and help prevent aging. I've tried proactive and it worked well on acne, but left little pumps on my forehead. I also tried the La Roche-Posay Effaclar line and it didn't help with my acne at all. What would you recommend? I live in Florida - very humid, and am trying to decide between these 3 acne lines and would love your guidance....(tried Proactive, didn't respond well - to drying, don't tolerate benz. peroxide). Adult Acne Or Something Else? |
| | Hello, I'm a 22 yr old Hispanic female with continuous acne problems. It began at about 17 and has slowly gotten worse. I have oily skin and most of the acne is on my cheeks and jaw line.
I've used a number of different things over the years but nothing seems to get rid of it. I am beginning to think it may not be acne at all.
I don't use make-up and wash everyday. What else can I do to reduce these things???

| | Hi, i have been topically applying clindoxyl(clindamycin, BP5%) For over three weeks now, although i do see some improvement, i started to have some problematic side effects that i am convinced are from the topical clindoxyl, My throat starts to really throb and i get a lot of pressure in my head around my eyes, bad headaches!! have you ever heard of this, do you think it could be a reaction?? i really want to keep using it because it is the only thing that has worked for the acne all around my chin(which is the only place i apply it) It just doesn't seem like this could cause me to have such a side effect could it???

Exercise Induced Adult Acne |
| | I am 24 years old and have never suffered from acne before. About a year ago, I started a steady work out regiment along with diet and noticed about 6 months into it that I was developing cystic acne on my cheeks and around my mouth. I never work out with makeup on. The funny thing is, that when I stop working out (couple weeks or so) my skin clears up!
I can see that exercise is causing this, but why?

I am 32 years old and until about 1 year ago I never had a problem with acne. I had a total hysterectomy last Nov (2005) and it seems that my problem has intensified. I get these horrible hard cyst like sores all over my face and then when they start healing, they ooz for a couple of days and feel like a canker sore. I get them mostly on my chin but have gotten them on my cheeks and eyebrows. I look horrible and now I have some scarring because of these. I have tried proactive, Allclear from Beauty Control, Mary Kay, minocyclin and whatever else I think might help. I am tired and I just want my face to look better. It is just painful to wash my face. Please give me any advice, I am open to anything that will help. Thank you for your time. |

| | Hi! i'm 26.. never had a problem with acne in my life. A couple months ago I started experiencing a lot of breakouts mostly around my jaw line. I thought it was due to the stress of my upcoming wedding. However, after the wedding my acne remained. I have went on and off my birth control lately and been off the pill for about 2 months now. I have went to see a dermatologist and she put me on Atralin and Benzaclin. My face will appear to be healing when I wake up, but then within a few hours I see tiny red bumps mostly on my cheeks beside my nose and on my forehead. This was occurring BEFORE I started the Benzaclin and Atralin and has continued. The bumps will pop up almost within minutes. I am very frustrated, what should I do?? |

| | I am currently using Jan Marini skin care and so far my skin is reacting good to it. Because it is a bit costly I was curious if there was anything similar you may carry. I am using the BioGlycolic line with the C-Esta Serum and Transformation Cream. I am 29 years old and live in a hot and dry climate. My skin seems pretty normal when using JM but is acne prone with blackheads. Can you suggest anything else that you think might work? or is it best to continue using what I have?
