61 Cystic Acne In Adults
Hi I am 28 yr old female and recently broke out with cyst acne on my chin and it for one hurts bad, and is embarrassing and leaves scars. do you have any suggestions on how to clear it up and get rid of scars?
62 Adult Cystic Acne
I am 29 years old, and I have had mild acne pretty much since I turned 13. As an adult my acne has greatly diminished, except a few spots around my period, but had have started to get cystic acne on my chin. And it seems to re-appear always in the same 3 spots. Currently I am using Khiels Blue Gel Acne Wash, and I have just started using the MD Skincare AlphaBeta Daily Facial Peel. I was wondering if you could recommend a skincare line that would help with the cystic acne and the dark spots that remain for a few weeks after they disappear. Thank you.
63 Finding The Right Adult Acne Treatment
I loved how my skin felt after using IQ Derma's 3-step acne fighting products, but my adult acne was worse. I respond better to benzoyl peroxide-based systems to get rid of acne, but then my skin is so dry. Can I combine treatments to get benefits of both? Any suggestions? I'm 34, so the anti-aging benefits are helpful.
64 ADult Acne/extremely Sensitive Skin
I have been having hormonal breakouts for almost 10 years now. I have taken antibiotics and used retin a,tazorac, they burned my skin. I'm allergic to Salicylic acid. My skin is very very sensitive and gets itchy and red. HELP!! I' have been using Avene tolerance program and I like it, but it does nothing for the acne. I was looking at the pevonia and wondering if that would work?
65 Benzoyl Peroxide Allergy/adult Acne
Hi, I am a Black woman who has been dealing with acne and oily skin since my late teens; I am now 33. I now get breakouts and have hyper pigmentation. I discovered that I was allergic to benzoyl peroxide several years ago and realized just how many acne products use this ingredient. I recently started seeing a dermatologist whose treatment plan now includes Retin-A which I find irritating; Differin did nothing for me. I cleanse with Cetaphil for oily skin and use Aveeno ultra calming moisturizer before the retinol application. I am interested in the La Roche-Posay products as a normal daily regimen. Do you have any product recommendations in this line or any others?
66 Adult Acne/anti Ageing Products
I am 54 and have developed acne along the jawline, related to hormone fluctuations I suspect. What can I use that would control this and work with or as an anti ageing regime. I don't want to have to work with 3,4,5 products to achieve results. Any suggestions? My skin is still considered combination - oily, normal and slightly dry under the eyes.
67 Adult Acne Treatment Making Skin Oily?
I recently saw a dermatologist, who said he did understand why I was breaking out. I never had trouble with Acne before. I just turned 30 this year, and have been having a lot of breakouts, especially around my mouth. I have a type 3 skin he said. I am oily around my nose and forehead, but since he put me on a treatment, my face is ooozing oil. I am using cetaphil to was, morning and night, finacea gel on the break outs in the morning, followed by oil of olay sunscreen with vitamins e & c, then at night I am using tretinoin cream on the break out areas, and I think it is called theraplex or thermaplex hydrolotion. I am still breaking out, and it has gotten worse, which he said it would get worse before it got better, but my face is disgustingly oily now. What should I do?

69 Adult Breakouts
Hello, All throughout my teen years I never had any problems with acne, or breakouts. When I hit my twenties, I suddenly began having skin problems. I noticed my skin breaking out quite frequently, so I started to use a generic version of ProActive, called AcneFree. It worked, and cleared up my skin beautifully but then it began drying it out very badly. I couldn't wear makeup, because my skin looked flakey and dry. I also noticed that when I would use it, my neck would break out in a rash. I switched to other methods (I used Mary Kay for a while, and then recently have started using an exfoliating scrub with salicylic acid) and have since started breaking out again. Nothing seems to help. I am so frustrated with my skin; just when I think it's clearing up, it breaks out again. What can I do?
70 Acnexus
I have mild acne, and I am looking for a face wash that will keep my skin clear without drying it out. I have tried murad, proactive, beautiful skin, and retin-A. All of these product have dried my face out and, caused me to have red blotches on my face (like chemical burns). I heard about this new face wash called Acnexus, and would like to know if you know anything about this product, and if it would be a good face wash for me to use. I would also appreciate any suggestions.
71 Acnetane
I did not suffer from acne as a child or as a teenager. I am 25 years old and for the last two years I have been getting pimples around the mouth only. I never have less than two per day and they are very large & sore pimples. My doctor has just prescribed acnetane for a period of 6 months which I must take on alternate days. I am very concerned about taking this because I am afraid that it may effect my liver and kidneys at a later stage. Also I want to start with a family in about 1 and a half years and I am afraid that it may effect my child or my chances of falling pregnant. I would like to know if this is the best option for me and if the risks mentioned above are true?
72 SCI & Acnetane
Hello, I recently had a terrible car accident! I have a spinal cord injury, and I am now an incomplete paraplegic. I have terrible cystic acne on my back and chest. Do you think that I should use Acnetane for my acne? Or will it have an effect on my spinal cord? Thank you,

74 Acne
I'm on the brink of leaving my preteen years behind me but I find I have a lot of acne on my face and neck while I just started to develop acne on my back and chest. Why is it this severe at my age? Is it going to get worse? If so, how much worst?

My husband is disabled and spends much time in bed. I need a bath wash to reduce rash from diapers and skin cream to sooth skin.
76 Skin Care For Adult Blemishes
I have been to an esthetician in the past who started me using cetaphil to cleanse, & glycolix elite (15%) & replenix (5x). I recently tried using ROC retinol serum but am having some breakouts almost daily. Should I change my regimen completely? I see that you have suggested the CosMedix line to others.. or should I continue on my old regimen & just go back to using the Replenix? Is there another product that might work better? Thanks
