Skin Condition Help PLEASE! |
| | Hi, my friend Ed has a rare skin condition ,and he doesn't remember the name of it, as he was a child when diagnosed, and has been living with other people than his parents. He is an adult now, and does not have insurance, to go to the Dr. to find out the name of his condition. He has dry, dead, flaky skin covering his entire body, head to toe, everywhere skin is. It is constantly dry and flaking, and his entire body is covered in brown, dead skin. It has an unpleasant odor, and everywhere he goes, he leaves skin flakes. He uses vaseline, as it helps a little, but doesn't know what would actually help him to get relief from it. It bleeds sometimes, when the flaking goes deep.It is unlike anything I have ever seen. I've been using La Roche Posay products for several years. I have oily/combination skin with constant acne. Recently, I've begun using the Effaclar line for my acne prone skin. My question is, when using the Effaclar K product, should I wait some length of time before using a moisturizer (specifically the Hydraphase moisturizer)?

I had a zit that did not quite produce into a blackhead... it was a red bump on my face. So I tried to push it to the surface. Now I have a huge red/brown hole spot on my face and if I touch it, their is a liquidy stuff on it. What can I do to heal this? I have another question though, I've read that glycolic acid is really helpful for the skin, but there seems to be so many different types of glycolic products. So my question is, which would be best for my combo acne prone and acne scar plagued skin: a glycolic lotion, pad or cleanser; also which brand do you recommend?
