Blemishes On Face |
| | My name is Vicki and i am 28 years old.
I have always suffered from mild acne from a teenager.
I am now suffering from red blotchy skin on my face, i also have flat red botchy scars under the skin caused from acne.
i cleanse with simple face wipes morning and night, and simple hydrating light moisturiser. My doctor has prescribed me Zineryt lotion for my spots.
Please help. |

Blemished Skin |

at 48 I find myself suffering from clogged pores/blackhead with fine wrinkles appearing. If I use a retional based cream my skin getting flaky and I get huge blackheads under the flakiness. If I treat the blackhead with glycolic/alph/beta acids my wrinkles get super red?? What do I treat first? my skin is very oil and gets shiny right after I cleanse it. I have been using Aveeno complexion bar after I remove my make up with either POnd's or a makeup remover.
I moisturizer everyday with a matting gel that has sf 15

Facial Blemish |
| | Dear Meagan, I have noticed recently on the bridge of my nose(next to my brow lid) a calloused white spot(sort of like a wart but small). I have scratched it off but it grows back and it seems harder. What could it be and is there a way to get rid of it? Also, can a dermatologist get rid of age spots on the face and/or legs? thank you very much! |

Scalp Blemishes |
| | I routinely get a bump or two in the exact same area of my scalp on a regular basis. I don't use any hair products and I shampoo daily (sometimes twice if I go to the gym). The bumps will last for a week or two. They tend to be red and inflamed but never really itchy or bothersome. Currently I have an area that is broken out that consists of about 8 or 9 bumps. Is this something regular or something I should go see a local dermatologist about or try some kind of medicated shampoo?

| | I moved to a new state almost two years ago and my face goes from one extreme to the next its either to dry so my psoriasis flares up or to oily so then comes the acne there for blemishes. what do you suggest I do to clear my skin up and remove these blemishes? |

| | i have been using fluocinonide cream for my psoriasis for about 7 years. a couple of days ago i stopped using it on my face and now i have red blemishes mainly on my forehead and cheeks. it doesn't look like psoriasis and it looks more like tiny pimples but my skin is not raised like acne would be. do you think this is a reaction from stopping the medicine or what could it be. thanks |

Blemishes On My Arm |
| | I have small red and black blemishes and marks on my arm. I shy away from wearing sleeveless shirts due to this. They are just small red dots on my both arms and is very embarrassing. Can you please advice on what I can do to reduce the spots and marks? |

Hard Watery Facial Blemishes |
| | I am a 49 yr old female, pre menaposal, I have never had problems with facial breakouts, even as a teen, but as an adult, for as long as I can remember, I continue to get these rather large (probably almost as large in diameter as a dime) hard, red raised "blemishes" on my face. They seem to appear in any area of my face, and are very hard, swollen looking, red areas. If squeezed they contain only water, and will last for at least a week, filling up with more water. I take good care of my skin, and presently as an atempt to rectify these blemishes I am using the 3 step process of Rodan & Fields Proactiv solution. (renewing cleanser, revitalizing toner, and repairing lotion - all containing benzoyl peroxide) twice daily, but still i get these blemishes about once a month or so, usually when one appears, there will soon be a second to follow at the same time. I am quite frustrated and can't seem to find out what these are, what is causing them, and how to eliminate them. Please are you familiar with my situation an do you have any advice? |

| | I have had many breakouts throughout my teenage years, but never acne. However, some of my pimples or blemishes have left scars along my cheekbones and although they are no longer pimples, I can't seem to get rid of these red spots. I am now 21 and still feel uncomfortable and desperate about it.

Facial Skin Blemishes |
| | Hi Meagan! I am a 53 year old female with olive complexion. I have very blemished facial skin due to a variety of sources:
(1) acne scars
(2) occasional acne flare-ups, which
take many months to heal.
(3) melasma
I currently use the hydroquinone 4% and differin .1%. I also use Revlon colorstay make-up for it's concealment abilities, and use a SPF 15 day cream underneath it. But even with all this my skin looks horrid w/o make-up and would like to improve it. Due to my skin color, laser treatments are out of the question. What can I do? Also, what order should I put all this stuff on? I've been using the hydroquinone in the evening and the differin during the day.

| | I am a 31yr old black lady.I started getting individual facial hairs on my chin and neck from my late 20's. My mom has it,her sisters,grandmother so apparently I obtained the same hairy gene. Same Blemish For 18 Years??!! |
| | This has ate up a big part of my life for a very long time. When I was 8 years old my mom noticed I had what looked like a pimple on my butt after a shower. 18 years later it's still there and it has brought a lot of its friends to the party. Now not only is my entire backside covered, but the inside of my thighs up by my crotch area and sometimes under my breasts are covered. My family doc 1st gave me this little blotter of stuff to dab on it (kinda looked like a little bingo dabber) and when that didn't work, he gave me antibiotics that also didn't work. The last time I checked regular pimples didn't cause pain, and didn't bleed A LOT when popped. I once had a nurse tell me that she had seen it before, but mostly in men and it was from washing too hard?! That was before I asked my family doc, and he told me she was pretty much full of it. Please HELP! This is eating me alive. 18 years is way too long to suffer from this. |

Back Acne Blemishes |
| | Hi there, I used to have back acne until recently. I asked my doctor for antibiotics and the breakouts stopped. However, there is visible scarring from the acne.
This makes it impossible for me to wear backless dresses.
I have long hair and I used to have a dandruff problem, it is still not completely gone.
Is all of this interconnected? What can I use?

Skin Care For Adult Blemishes |
| | I have been to an esthetician in the past who started me using cetaphil to cleanse, & glycolix elite (15%) & replenix (5x). I recently tried using ROC retinol serum but am having some breakouts almost daily. Should I change my regimen completely? I see that you have suggested the CosMedix line to others.. or should I continue on my old regimen & just go back to using the Replenix? Is there another product that might work better? Thanks |

Help Me Please! Blemish Around The Eye |
| | Hi! For several years now, I have purplish dark blemish on my eyelids and around my eyes. This gives the impression that i have dark circles. I conceal my eyelids with eyeshadow but for the blemish circles, its hard. I have gone to see a dermatologist who prescribed 'aida cream'.
