Best Cleanser For Rosacea And Breakouts |
| | I have rosacea and breakouts mostly in my chin area. I've tried Pevonia and gave it an honest try and didn't really like it. What else would you suggest? I am asking because I got an email today about Elave Hydrating Cream Cleanser and am intrigued. I want something that's not harsh, because of my sensitive skin condition, but feels like i am really clean after using it.

Glytone Cleanser Recommendation |
| | I have been using Glytone Mild Gel Wash and am about finished with the bottle. I really like the product, but it no longer completely controls breakouts. I am thinking of moving to a slightly stronger Glytone cleanser, but they have several cleansers and I'm not sure which would be the best one to order. Exfoliating gel wash, maybe? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you! |

Cleanser For Use With Tazorac |

As it is now getting colder in New York, my skin is becoming more and more irritated due to Tazorac use. Do you have an idea for a cleanser that can be combined with Tazorac. I am currently using Dermalogica's Special Cleansing Gel and Avene's Soothing Cream. However, I am still breaking out (around chin mostly) and my skin feels very taught.

Acne Cleanser Vs. Treatment |
| | I'm a 26 yo female with supposedly hormonal acne that appears on my chin/jaw and tends to breakout around my period. I am currently using a glycolic/salicylic leave on treatment at night and have seen improvement but there could be more. Do you think I do better off with a glycolic/salicylic cleanser instead of a treatment instead? I also currently use a gentle foaming cleanser. |

Help W/ Cleansers! |
| | Hi! You recently recommended the La Roche Posay Effaclar K to target my breakouts on my forehead [I'm waiting for it in the mail]. I am running low on my cleanser, Bioelements Flash Foam Cleanser, which I love, but I feel like I need a cleanser that will also help with my occasional breakouts or prevent them from being more frequent. I have combination skin, which is more on the dry side because of the weather. Is there a cleanser you can recommend for combination skin that helps with breakouts w/o over drying my face? I was thinking the Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel?
I also am currently using [happily] the Credentials 02 Optimizing cream, but only from my eyes down because I'm afraid its too rich to use on my forehead that breaks out. Is there an oil free moisturizer that you can recommend for me to use over the Effaclar K?

Thanks for your great advice on my other question. The bioclear lotion is working out great. I have been using the bioglycolic cleanser but am thinking of switching to the one for oily skin and just wondered if you thought it might be too drying for someone with combination skin. My t-zone needs blotting with rice papers at least once a day and I usually am pretty oily by the end of the day. I just don't want to over-dry my skin but would love to cut down on some of the shininess. I was using the c-esta serum oil control but have switched to another brand's c-serum so thought changing cleansers would help. Thanks! |

Sunscreen And Cleanser For Rosacea |
| | I have rosacea, my skin is dry and sensitive. My main symptoms are severe facial burning,swelling, and redness. I rarely have any bumps. I was looking for a sunscreen, would the Elta MD UV Physical SPF 41 be gentle enough for me, or would you recommend something else? Also I've been looking for another facial cleanser. I've been using Cetaphil cleansing bar, but it doesn't seem to remove all of my makeup. Could you recommend a gentle cleanser that is good at removing makeup? It would have to be fragrance free, I'm extremely sensitive to fragrances. I've been hesitant to try the Pevonia RS2 Rosacea line because I've read a lot of reviews saying they have very strong scents. Is there any other products that could possibly help with my facial burning and swelling? Thanks for you help. |

Cjhange Skin Cleansers |
| | I have recently tried a few different cleansers after using MD Forte because I wanted something I could use in the shower. LaRoche Posey Tolerane foaming cleanser leaves my skin tight and dry and not looking very lifeless. So I switched to Exuvience Moisturizing antibiotic cleanser because my pores clog easily and I began to see whiteheads and a cyst form on my cheek I need a cleanser that works and has skin rejuvenation for my combination very very sensitive skin. I am approaching 50 and my skin looks lifeless and dull with some hyperpigmentation from sun damage so I also need a sunscreen that won't irritate or cause break outs.

Make Up Remover/cleanser |
| | Hi Megan,I have some questions about the Biomedic Purifying Cleanser and the conditioning solution. Do I need to remove my make up with something else first or, does this cleanser do both? I didn't think about it the first couple times I used it but then it came to me that I might need to. The last couple of nights to be on the safe side, I washed off my eye make up and just a quick once over on my face to get the make up off with Pupose cleanser. I wash my face twice a day, once in the AM and then before bed. Will this be ok or should I get a make up remover?
I've been using the cleanser and the conditioning solution and I've noticed some flaky dryness. IS this part of the exfoliating? I just started using the products last Tuesday. I was using the conditioning solution twice a day. Do you think this is to much for my 40 year old face? Should I switch to once a day for a week and see if it improves? I mentioned to you earlier that I used Proactiv for years and we thought that it might be contributing to my oily skin. I don't want to make my skin oiler but, I do think I need something to fight the acne that I seem to still have into my 40's. And one other thing before I forget, does that amount of water you drink daily help your skin?? I was told that it helps flush out and keeps the skin clearer, is there any truth to this?? |
