| | I am 22 and I've had dry skin on my face, hands, and feet, as well as flaking skin throughout the rest of my body since I was 11. I have dry skin throughout the year but it’s worse in the dry winter season. I have used Eucerin as a moisturizing lotion, which works well, but isn't there something else that can be done about dry skin? I presume I speak for many who have this problem when I say that I'm tired of having to use lotions and creams just to look "normal". Are there certain vitamins/minerals that we could take instead that would keep our skin hydrated? Also, why hasn't a cure been found for dry skin? Maybe it's my ignorance, but it seems that dry skin is nothing more than the body's cells inability to hold adequate amount of water in each cell. So why can't this seemingly small problem be cured? |

I have had luck with ointments in the past, usually prescribed steroids, but I don't want to damage my skin any longer. | | I need a product recommendation for dry skin. I need to invest in a facial moisturizer and something else for the rest of my body.
I've been using Eucerin on my body and it's been working ok, but my main complaint is that it's very greasy and its effects only last a few hours.
I'm allergic to anything containing any kind of fruit extracts, particularly things like mango and papaya make me break out.
So what are your suggestions? |

| | I am trying to figure out what I can do for my skin. I have what appears to by dry skin on my arms. The skin is fine, it's around the pores that is dry. It is slightly red and bumpy. I use lotion twice a day, and it makes my skin smooth, but the sight of the red around the pores is always visible. The only time it seems to go away is when I get a tan.
