| | I have a question about my serious dry skin issues. I have used all sorts of creams and lotions on my hands and they tend to work for a short while then my skin gets dry and begins peeling again shortly. It seems that I can't solve this problem unless I'm putting creams on every 15 minutes and that isn't very practical. Also, if I shower or swim, I come out always with the most ridiculous prune-like hands and the skin starts to get whites and peel. I wonder what I can do about this? Diet changes? Medicines? It seems more than just a topical lotion problem. Thanks. |

| | I am a 45 year old Hispanic woman. I've always had a problem with a dry scalp (dandruff) but recently began itching on my eyebrows. Then my skin underneath the eyebrows became very dry and flaky. I began using more moisturizer at night. I also moisturize in the morning. When I apply the moisturizer, my skin burns a little. Is there a name for this? Do I need to see a doctor? Help, I feel like my skin around my eyes is aging quickly. What should I do? Thanks in advance. |

| | Recently i heard that toothpaste works as a great acne cream. All excited i rushed to put some on the few pimples that I had and had decided to use it as a facial mask on the areas around my nose. I made a horrible mistake and had left it on overnight. My skin feels and looks like I have really bad sunburn and have just came back from a trip to mexico. It's very dry around my nose and is starting to peel, i believe. What should i do, and will any scarring be involved.? |

| | Hello Meagan, thanks for the quick reply. I am in Canada so how long do you think it would take for me to receive those products. I also have one more question. There is one spot on my head like at the bottom right side that is really dry and itchy I can like pick at it, I dunno I never had these problems before. There is also one spot behind my right ear that is really dry and looks a bit red. Is there anything you can recommend for that. I did buy this medicated shampoo I am trying that. Thanks again

| | well my daughter came to me a few weeks ago and said she had a bald spot. this spot is very dry and flaky, it almost looked like cradle cap, the spot was about half dollar size, now its gotten bigger, and there is 8 more spots starting I've used loting tried baby oil and soaking and scraping off the flakes, but it doesn't see to be helping is there anything i can try or should i just take her to the doctors? |

| | I have dry circular red spots on my arms and legs. Some look like age spots while other are red and sometimes bleed. Dermatologist said was from sun damage. Creams they recommended did not help. Is there something I can use. Right now I put vitamin e oil on after shower then follow up with cetaphil. I also put cetaphil on at night.

| | I am of African descent and in the winter I become quite itchy; when I do scratch I develop these white spots which are about 3mm wide and then they turn black. I have seen these spots all along my stomach, my back as well as along the axillary area.
I lived in a warmer/humid climate before moving to the US and I never had any of these problems... do you have any suggestions as to how I should proceed? |

| | I use YonKa products, but could use something more moisturizing at night. What do you recommend? I am 45, have mild rosacea, very dry skin, but not a lot of wrinkles and no acne. Have recently moved to a much dryer climate and may be feeling effects of that! |

Dryness And Acne |
| | I am 27 years old. I have had moderate acne on my chin for a very long time. I recently moved to a relatively dry climate and my skin has really dried out, but my acne remains. Amazingly, my chin is one of the flakiest areas on my face, but I am still breaking out. I would be thankful for any suggestions you have on how to treat both the dryness and the acne. Also,I have some dark spots left on my chin from prior breakouts. What can I do about these?
