Dryness And Acne |
| | I am 27 years old. I have had moderate acne on my chin for a very long time. I recently moved to a relatively dry climate and my skin has really dried out, but my acne remains. Amazingly, my chin is one of the flakiest areas on my face, but I am still breaking out. I would be thankful for any suggestions you have on how to treat both the dryness and the acne. Also,I have some dark spots left on my chin from prior breakouts. What can I do about these?

Eye Dryness |
| | Hi! I have very dry, eczema like skin on the area between my eyelid and my brows. I use aquaphor at night to combat the dryness. It works temporarily until the next day. I haven't changed any of my eye makeup. Any suggestions on how to combat this? Thanks! |

Monthly Dry Skin |
| | As a teenager i suffered terribly from acne and oily shiny skin spending most of my time on dianette contraceptive pill. This cleared up in mt 20s but my skin has never been particularly clear and always shiny and prone to break out. I am now 28 and in the last 6-8 months i have noticed that once a month around the week before my cycle is due my skin becomes very tight and dry feeling very dehydrated. I have a good skincare routine, i wash, tone, moisturise, i exfoliate several times a week and drink a lot of water. I also have a balanced and varied diet. I am unsure as to why this has started happening and wondered if there is anything i can do or take to control this again (perhaps a different type of contraceptive pill) i am currently taking nothing for my skin. but do take evening primrose supplements when the dry skins starts appearing. |

Dryness And Redness |
| | My question is for my husband, he has breakouts of extreme redness in the T-zone area, along with large flakes of dry skin. Usually the skin looks so red that it looks like the skin is weeping or wet. It seems like anything we try and use just burns and stings, and since his skin is oily also, we don't know where to start in picking cleansers or lotions. If you have any advice on what to do please let us know! |

Dry Skin Of The Face |
| | what should i use for the dry skin around my nose, mouth and chin. It gets really dry and flaky and i even have little bumps in these areas. when i put lotion on these areas it burns and becomes red and the bumps come out even more. the lotion doesn't seem to help with the dryness because in a matter of minutes it comes back and is flakier. what do you recommend i should do? |

Dry Skin And Acne |
| | I have very dry skin, yet still break out on my forehead (my forehead even feels very dry). I am using oil-free, non comogenic face washes and tea tree oil to combat the acne. While these seem to control it to some extent, I am also left with very dry skin. I don't understand why I still break out because I am very careful about washing properly and not touching my face. |

Dry Skin + Acne |
| | Hi I'm 20 years old and I have been seeing a dermatologist for the past few months because of excessive drying and acne. My dermatologist most recently recommended to use a tiny layer of Vaseline before I go to bed to cure the excessive dryness on my cheeks and nothing else. Although my skin is not dry it's not helping the acne that is underneath all the dryness. I have seen him multiple times and everything he has recommended (retinoids, then cetaphil cleanser and cream, now vaseline) has only helped one problem or the other. I was hoping you could recommend me something that will keep my skin hydrated and at the same time help with the acne on my cheeks and the stubborn blackheads on my chin. I'm getting really frustrated and just want to have the skin of a normal 20 year old. Thanks |

Excessively Dry Skin |
| | I have overly dry skin in the folds of my nose where it meets my face and on my chin. I've been using aquaphor and cetaphil lotion as a temporary solution - but I want to solve the problem. I went to a dermatologist and she thought it might be a fungus so she prescribed a "ketano" something creme (don't remember the exact name). It made my face more dry, the cracks on these dry areas began to bleed. I discontinued use after a few days. The spots are red, can be flaky, I tend to rub off the flakes a couple times a day. I've had this issue for a little over a year. I went to florida for a week, during august it was very humid. The redness and dryness went away after the second day in Florida, and didn't come back until a week had past at home (NY). I'm trying to figure out how I can simulate humidity or use some sort of uber moisturizing creme. What do you suggest this might be - or my remedy could be? |

Red Dry Skin Spots |
| | Approximately 4 weeks ago I awoke, showered then noticed two red, splotchy areas on my chest. They did not itch, but had a flesh-colored center. I thought they might be insect bites and did not worry. However, every day since there are new spots. Mostly on my chest, back and upper arms, but also a few on my calves. They only itch just after a shower, are smaller than a dime, circular, red, noticeably dryer than surrounding skin, totally flat, obviously spreading as there are now about 15 such spots. I've used hydrocortisone cream for about 10 days with no effect. The original spots remain now going on one month with no change in appearance, but not going away. Help, any suggestions? |

Blackheads And Dry Skin |
| | I am 40 and have a very bad blackhead problem but my skin is also very dry at the same time. I went to a local dermatologist and she said that Skin Ceuticals AHA would definitely do the trick but its been 3 months with no results AT ALL. Out of all the lines that are offered on your site is there any line that would combat the blackheads, dryness, texture refinement and fine lines or am I asking for a miracle?

Large Pores, Dry Skin |
| | Hi, I took a 5 month course of accutane over 5 years ago that has worked really well for me as far as breakouts go. Only in the past year or so have I started having one or two pimples every couple of months or so, which is perfectly acceptable to me. In the past 4 years I have been living in the middle east, where due to the hot climate, everything in the country is air conditioned, which has led to my feeling my skin rather dry especially my cheeks and forehead. My questions are:
1. I used to have oily skin, is my currently "dry" skin a result of the accutane or the AC? When looking for products, what skin type would I subscribe to?
2.I have noticed some fine lines appear in my face, especially since I had my son two years ago. Should I be looking for a moisturizer or an anti aging product?
3. Finally, I have had large pores on my nose for at least the past 15 years, which I used to squeeze clean. What can I use to minimize their appearance? Would I need to apply something locally to the pores and not the rest of my "dry" face?
4. I have dark circles and puffs under my eyes, anything I can do to minimize those?
I am 31, white female.

| | I am 62 yrs old and have normal/dry skin. I have a 2nd home in FL and would like to know of the best skincare line for me. I am not a sun worshipper but was in sun a lot growing up on a farm. My skin is in good condition but the dryness around my eyes and forehead drive me crazy. Also I have fine lines around my mouth but not many crowfeet lines. Thanks Mom & Grandma. Why Oily Skin And Then Dry Skin? |
| | (Thanks! for your time)i am 18 years old and i live in watsonville california. i remember having oily skin since i suffered from acne.
The problem know is that i have dry skin and if i do not apply a lot of cream to my face feels tight, but the problem is that my face looks oily and i have so many clogged pores due to all the cream. What do i have to do to use little cream and be well moisterised. Is it true that stress could also be a cause of dry skin. How does that work?? sounds weird because i heard that it was a cause of oily skin not dry skin. |

Oily Skin Products On Dry Skin |
| | Me question is this. My 17yr. old daughter has had very dry flaky skin for a couple years along with acne. She has used the hydaphase with no real results to speak of. I on the other hand have very oily skin. So I had her try the products I've been using to see if it helped any. Effaclar active matt hydrating emulsion and the Pevonia oily skin lotion. It seemed to help her with the dry flaky skin but she seems to be oily. Is this from the products? If so what would you recommend for her dry, flaky, sensitive skin?? |
