| | I had a lip augmentation 2 years ago...the incisions were made along the border of the upper and lower lip. So, I obviously have scars. My problem is that my scars are very painful not to mention very hard, stiff and firm. Also, my lips obviously move a lot which pulls on the scar and does not help matters. I was wondering if there is any solutions to make my scars feel soft and non-painful. I would think scar revision would make it worse since lips are a very sensitive region of the body...and can result in more dysesthesias (uncomfortable sensations) than comparable surgery in other ares.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. |

| | I have these horrible scars all over my body. When I was younger a doctor said something to me that it may be the pigment in my skin that wont allow the scars to fade. When I was younger I also had Infentigo. I'm trying to find a way to reduce the appearance of the scars, and like I said they are all over my body. My husband hates this and I feel very uncomfortable even wearing a bathing suit. I was hoping you could help me and let me know what my alternatives are. Thanks so much! |

| | hi, last week i got into a fight leaving me with an open cut from a punch. I believe i had 6-7 stitches above my upper lip. the cut is still healing and i believe i will be getting a scar. Is there anyway i can eliminate or minimize my scar? Right now, the cut shows a lighter color compared to my skin because i had been putting bacitracin Ointment on it. please let me know what i need to reduce the scar. thank you |

| | I am a darker-skinned African American female who scars relatively easily. I sustained a scar to my upper lip area almost 3 year ago after one electrolysis attempt. The scar is so dark that it appears as a mustache and must be concealed with makeup. Also, I've had previous bouts of folliculitis and there are dark scars remaining. Is there any hope that I can have these embarrassing scars removed with dermatologic procedures? Which ones? Is laser hair removal safe, and more importantly, effective yet for dark skinned individuals? |

| | I am a thirteen year old who has suffered form minor acne, and has received a few scar on my chin. Also, about a year ago, I accidentally scratched my cheek, and it then left a scar. On my cheek, the scar is about the size of a nickle, but more oval. It has a redness that I cant stand to look at. I tried Scar Zone on it, and it faded it a small amount. I absolutely want to get rid of the scar once and for all. But I was wondering if it could just be a discoloration as a result of my injury; from what i can tell, it is not raised or sunken. I was looking into a couple of products that were advertised to help. One is a micro dermabrasion cloth, said to remove the top layer of skin, and in turn the scar. Another is a microdermabrasion scrub. I Thought that this product would be the most effective. I would love to use one of these products, but I have some concerns. Would these products be safe to use at my age, or have any long term side effects, such as more scarring, or discolorations. I feel strongly about completely removing my scar, and not just fading it. Would these products work, are they safe to use because I am only 13, would they ruin my skin forever, and how effective are they really. I cant stand my scar, and I hope that you reply soon. | | i have so many scars on my arms legs and back....i had a protein allergy that caused my skin to break out and leave scars all over me.im 17 and the scars have crushed my self esteem...i cant wear bathing suits,shorts,or any revealing clothes because the scars are so embarrassing...i would do anything to get rid of the ....i would even give part of my life away just to get rid of them....i have a beautiful body but awful skin...please help |

| | i have a tiny scar on my nose.....i used mederma....but it burns....and irritates the surrounding skin. after a week of using it....i notice that it burned a patch of my skin. i think i'm overusing it....how are u supposed to use it? i should only put on the confined area? i really need help. but it greatly dimnish the appearance of my scar. |

| | Hi, A friend of mind has a scar which is left after an operation for broken ribs last October. The scar is still noticeable, although it seems to be healing. My friend is in his early 30's and works out on a regular basis. Would you recommend any product that helps to heal the scar? Also, I would like know about products that can help hair regrow. I'm 29,female, and I feel my hair falls out more than before. Stress might be the reason, but I believe certain kind of shampoo must be helpful. Thanks for you time. |
