| | i had this zit located above my lip, and after it scared and healed, a dark color was left behind. i used neosporin scar solution for a while now. the area looks completely healed but the color is really dark. what should i do? should i keep using the solution or do i do something else? |

| | I have always had perfect skin. Now i don't. I started to have little bumps on my skin, not a lot that i didn't notice before. i used to squeeze them so hard to get rid of them leaving me with redness that would turn into a scar. I now have a tiny red hole in my skin (face) that has been there for months and will not go away. i don't mind it being there but why is it still red after months, why has it not healed. Also now every time i have a tiny hair on my cheek also, i use a needle to free it and remove it, this sometimes causes damage o the skin and it leaves a dark mark after the scab has gone for about a month. It seems the healing of my skin is taking ages. The other half of my face is so perfect, but this isn't. Please help me, it distresses me every time i see the remnants of my shoddy work. Thank you. |

When I was young I had a lot of acne because of many environmental reasons. Now that I'm older (23) it was mostly cleared up but I have a noticeable lump on my nose from a pimple that never completely went away. I also have a lot of black heads on the nose area.
Is there anything that can be done about this? Also, how much does it usually cost for a consultation and treatment. I don't have any insurance so it'll all be out of pocket. I doubt insurance would cover this anyway. |

| | I am a 32 year old male and have a condition I want some answers on. I will be returning to a dermatologist but not for a month or so but looking for a heads-up. From time to time I break-out in circle pustules in multiple parts of my body. Some are due to ingrown hairs, but others to something else. It seems that a hard substance with the consistence of plastic or hard wax wraps itself around a bunch of hairs close to one another. When I pull all the hairs out in this area the pain starts to go away a little but the blemish remains for a week or two and is still very painful. I get these on my head, chest, arms, butt and back. Any advice or ideas? |

Permanent Scars |
| | Whenever I cut or injure myself accidentally, a permanent scar which looks like a bruise forms. The skin is notably darker in the “scarred” area. I have a few scars on my face and couple on my body. They don’t seem to go away even after many years. Is there any way to reduce the visibility of these scars ideally permanently and 100%. Thanks.

I'm a 19 year old female and have been dealing with scarring on my forehead and chin for four years now.
id like to know what treatments you'd recommend for scarred skin? my sister is getting married next year so i would like my skin to be clear for next year...is this enough time?
i have also done some research into microdermabrasion and would like to know if this is suitable for young skin, is it an effective, quick treatment? and will there be any side effects?
