16 Seborrheic Dermatitis / Yeast On Upper Lip
Hello, I have Seborrheic Dermatitis. After a sexual encounter where I gave oral sex to a woman. My upper lip was very red and I continue to have redness on the mustache area. My dermatologist said it was a yeast overgrowth and that is just my skin. Is there anything I can try?
17 Seborrheic Dermatitis In A 12-year-old Girl
My daughter has developed a case of what we think is seborrheic dermatitis, over the last four months or so. She is 12, almost 13. She has large areas of scaly stuff on her scalp, and has begun to lose hair, resulting in several noticeable bald spots. Due to waiting lists where we live, she is only able to see a dermatologist in November. What can you tell me about this?

19 Dermatitis
I have suffered with seborrheic dermatitis for over four years. I have used Nizoral to control the outbreaks on my cheeks, side of nose, eyelids and scalp. I cannot seem to cure the middle of my nose, it is permanently red, dry and rough. I have tried numerous moisturisers as well as Nizoral and steroid creams but without any success. Is my skin on my nose Just dry or is it related to dermatitis, if so do you have any suggestions that might make it not feel so rough, dry and look red. thanks

I am a 25 year old African American female who was recently told I have SD. It is affecting the face around my eyebrow and inbetween the two eyes above the nose. My skin appears to be hypopigmented. I tried the 1% steriod creams and they don't seem to be working. Is there anything else I can try? It is sometime ichy, but I am most concerned about the color. I have been under alot of stress and I was told this could make things worst.
22 PERIORAL And SEBORRHEIC
I have acne in the past and it cleared up w/ the use of Differin. Now I have been diagnosed w/ Seborrheic and Perioral dermatitis. I am wondering which OTC products are okay to use for a cleanser, moisturizer, SPF and shampoo. I have read that there are many ingredients that aggravate the perioral including: avobenzene in Spf, SLS, SLES, ALS (in everything), Isopropyl myristate and creams w/ petrolatum and paraffin. Please help - I am need products that will also not cause my acne to return as well. Thanks
23 Seborrhoeic Dermatitis / Psoriasis
I've had this skin disorder for a very long time. I have white spots under my arms, stomach and back. My skin also gets a little flaky, but comes and goes. I've tried everything. All the shampoos, ketoconazole, tanning (to try to even the discoloration) It's pretty embarrassing. All the dermatologist have told me it will eventually go away. It hasn't. It's been years. Is there a cure? Light treatment, ect?? Please help. Thanks..
24 Seborreic Dermatitis Scalp
I have the built up dry scalp problem. I wash my hair and the next evening i have dry patches. I've already been through the "too much conditioner" and those types of theories. When I was a child I had "cradle cap." It seems I have the adult version of that. Anyway, I was wondering if research on this problem is taking place? Are there any other alternatives besides medical shampoos? Does this go away or do you have it forever? It is a very embarrassing situation and a hassle to deal with. I know its not a disease, but if there are any other methods possible to get rid of this I would like to know. Thanks for your time and patience.

28 Dermatitis
My 85 yr old father has had chronic itching for the past 2 years. He has seen 3 doctors (2 dermatologist) and no one knows what his problem is. He skin looks like a first degree burn all over his body. His feet and face are swollen. His skins flakes off of him daily. Nothing has relieved this problem. He was treated for psoriasis but no results. A skin biopsy lead to a drug allergy, but all meds have now been changed, the itching continues. The flaking skin is now in his ear canals and he is losing his hearing. Can you help?

30 Spongiatic Dermatitis
I recently has a test return positive for spongiatic dermatitis. I would like to know the difference between that and psoriasis. I don't believe I have the same symptoms and I would hope my dermatologist would have just told me I was positive for psoriasis if that was the case.
31 Perioral Dermatitis Or Not?
I think that I may have Perioral Dermatitis. I have red and blotchy skin on my chin, and there are no pimples there. This redness developed this past May, and it goes and comes. I have used Triamcionolone Acetonide to treat it, and it goes away fairly quickly when I use this cream on it. However, I have done some research and have found that using such a cream can make your fact become addicted to the cream and worsen the symptoms. Also, I recently went to a dermatologist and got prescribed Ziana. However, at that time, the rash had gone away, so the doctor did not prescribe Ziana for this problem. Will the Ziana help to treat the Perioral Dermatitis if I am correct in thinking it is Perioral Dermatitis? Do you even think that I have Perioral Dermatitis based on what I have told you? Should I completely stop using the Ziana on my chin area? Thank you for your time!
