| | When my 14 year old son uses sunscreen for the 1st time before entering the ocean he is fine, but once he gets out of the salt water and re-applies sunscreen to his face, he is is pain, meaning, he says his face feels like it is on fire. No amount of washing with soap and water or cold compresses help. This lasts for several hours after 2nd application. Is there some specific brand we could try? Do you think this could be that the salt water is opening up the pores on his skin and he is getting a reaction?? Thanks |

| | I routinely carry sunscreen with me throughout the day. However, it is very very hot in the south, so my sunscreen separates into the once white lotion and a new yellow oil. Is it still safe to use as a sunscreen, or have the active ingredients degraded making it ineffective against uva and uvb rays? |

| | Hi Meagan, I am thinking of purchasing a sunscreen but I am not sure which one to buy. Right now, I am considering 2 sunscreens which are La Roche Posay Anthelios SX and SkinCeuticals Daily Sun Defense SPF 20. Can you tell me the difference between those two?And right now my skin is quite dry since I include retinol 30 in my regimen. Should i consider using a moisturizing sunscreen or should I purchase them separately?Thanks! |

| | I have heard that if you use a foundation containing titanium dioxide ontop of a sunscreen containing avobenzone, the titanium dioxide could degrade the avobenzone rendering the sunscreen ineffective or worse that it could produce more free radicals.
Is this true?

| | Hi, I would like to ask if the Replenix spf 45 sunscreen is good for people with olive/ yellow skin tone? I know it is tinted but most tinted sunscreen contains iron oxide and it is red/pink pigment. I tried several tinted sunblock but they turned my face pinkish. I'm Asian with medium yellow skin tone and it's so hard to find a sunscreen that does not whiten my face. Please help! Thank you in advance! |

| | I want to wear sunscreen on my face, but whenever I do, my skin becomes discolored after a few days or weeks of doing so. I've tried several different brands and potency, but there must be an ingredient in sunblock that causes dark patches to appear on my face. After discontinuing use of the sunscreen, the darkness fades after a week or two. Right now I'm using raw Shea butter since I read it offers mild sun protection, but not enough to prevent UV damage. Can you please recommend a facial sunscreen that won't cause discoloration of my skin? |

| | I use a moisturizer with an SPF of 15 everyday. The experts recommend that sunscreen should be reapplied every 2 hours. I apply my moisturizer/sunscreen in the morning and i am out for hours.
I do not have the time to reapply every two hours. Also the directions tell us to cleanse the face before applying. Therefore even if I could reapply the moisturizer/sunscreen i do not have the opportunity to wash my face every 2 hours. How do I make sure that I am getting sun protection at all times. |

| | I have been using Retin-a 0.1% for several months now. I normally work nights and do not see the sun so I never need to apply sunscreen. Well, summertime is approaching and I have noticed that many of the otc sunscreens burn very bad after I apply them. I have even tried those for sensitive skin. I thought about trying a natural sunscreen with zinc and titanium but I do not know if that is broad spectrum. Do you have any suggestions? |

| | I'm looking for a daily sunscreen to wear under my moisturizer or makeup (if the sunscreen is all in one). I don't want a beach-worthy heaviness, but rather a light SPF30 that will not feel heavy. I am 36yo fair haired/skinned and slightly sensitive (especially to aloe), who grew up on the beach, so my skin is showing the sun damage signs. I now live in Texas and want to prevent future damage.
The dermatologist always recommends I wear use sunscreen daily, but does not have an answer for a lightweight day-wear worthy lotion. I'm looking for body lotion with similar SPF that will also hydrate. This may be two things: body and face.

Hydroquinone And Sunscreen |
| | I have a question. Recently my acne flared up really seriously. Along with this, i also have very bad acne scars left behind, which actually make my acne look like its severe. I am now seing a dermatologist for this. Now, she prescribed i used benzoyl peroxide wash for my face, clindamycin phosphate pads, as well as hydroquinone 4% for the scaring. I was wondering is it safe to mix all these products. Usually after i wash my face with the benzoyl peroxide, and then the pads, i wait for atleast 5-10 mins to use the hydroquinone. I usually also dont go outside a lot so i dont tend to use sunscreen. I do however use it when i go outside. Do i have to use sunscreen even when i'm inside the house? Are all these products safe to use at the same time?

I've ben using the sunforgettable; which is great, but thought I could find a sunscreen in a lotion that the whole family can use. | | I live in S.W. Florida. I am outside 90% of the day. I walk/jog daily. I use sunscreen as my moisturizer. I am approaching 50 years old and do have wrinkles (big surprise...lol) I sweat like crazy and constantly reapply sunscreen. I can only use moisturizer at night when I'm not sweating. What would you recommend? I need some kind of anti-aging help!!! Thank you! |
