For glycolic acid
1 Glycolic Acid
Hi, i have really bad acne scar on my shoulders and back, i would like to know if 50% glycolic acid is good for me to use at home, and is it safe to use glycolic acid and skin lightening cream on my face.
2 Glycolic Acid
i was recently advised to use glycolic acid and they recommended glytone products due to its FREE ACID VALUE. what exactly does this mean? is it important when choosing products? also is it safe to use glycolic acid during pregnancy?
3 Glycolic Acid
what is the highest strength glycolic acid prescribed by physicians?
4 Glycolic Acid
Can retin/a be used with md forte
5 Glycolic Acid
I have used Glycolic acid face wash (10%) for about a week and have flaking around my chin, mouth and nasal regions. Moisturizer helps only minimally. Is this normal due to the glycolic acid removing the dead skin? How long until this subsides? Thank you!
6 Glycolic Acid
I have heard there have been great successes with 30% glycolic acid on older skin. Do you offer this product?
7 Glycolic Acid
Hi, I'm using a glycolic acid cleanser at night and I'm wondering if I can be able to use it around my eye area and on eye lid? I 'm 26 years old and already see wrinkles and fine lines around my eyes so I wanted to add retinol and glycolic acid to my regimen. I would like to try Glycolix Elite 10% glycolic acid cream. Do you think that will help with my enlarged pore and blackheads as well as wrinkles? I know that you are not supposed to apply Retinol products on eye lid, but can I use AHA wash or CREAM around delicate eye area( including eye lids)? Thank you for your help.
8 Glycolic Acid
I had this dark spot on my forehead so i used glycolic acid to peel it away, very strong too, maybe 50-70%. I've used it before with great results on my whole face. Well the whole dark spot was done and that area of the skin healed about 3 weeks ago back to normal, but there still is a circle about an inch in diameter that is a deep red. another doctor told me that glycolic acid is too superficial to scar but somehow i feel like this is chemical burn. is there a way to reduce redness and bring it back to normal? sometimes it looks like it's finally gaining another layer on top of the red one but the second i touch it when I'm washing my face i look in the mirror and it's back to deep red.
9 Glycolic Acid
I have been using Reversa which contains 4% glycolic acid for 3 days now and i have noticed a little bit of redness on my cheeks. Perhaps this is because my skin is not used to this type of product. I'm not sure. Is this normal, should I be worried. There is no burning or stinging feeling, just some tiny blotches of redness. What could that be and what should I do. I want to continue to use this product since the pharmacist recommended it. Thanks
10 Glycolic Acid
Hello: I learned about Glytone products from my dermatologist but haven't decided to try them yet. If I order, for example, the Glytone Lotion for Sensitive Skin level 1, is there any reason I couldn't use my regular facial cleanser with it?
11 Glycolic Acid
Hi -- I have been using Glyderm's gentle cleanser and cream 12 for about 6 months and i still have a small discoloration spot on my face unchanged. do you rec a cream other than the glycolic acid 12? should i use it twice a day? thanks
12 Glycolic Acid
I went to a spa for a treatment and they gave me some glycolic acid. I used it on my face but did not know that I was supposed to use something to neutralize the acid. I did wash it off with cold water but it still burned. I did this at home and it was after hours at the salon so I did not have anyone to call and did not find out about neutralizing the acid until the next day. The areas are red and were oozing but now that I neutralized it, it stopped oozing and seems to be a little better. Is the redness EVER going to go away? The skin never blistered, it just burned and looked raw. What have I done to myself?!?!? Help!
13 Glycolic Acid
I am 27 and have been using 5% glycolic acid gel (with aloe) for about 6 years now, provided by an esthetician I no longer go to. The product was from Only YouRx, which is only available from a licensed esthetician. I am looking for a good replacement product to use. I would like to keep using the same level of 5%, as opposed to 10%, and found the DDF facial pads and was wondering if these would be a similar product to the one I am using now. I don't necessarily have acne any more (as opposed to when I started using the 5% gel), but I am akin to sticking with something because if it isn't broke, I don't want to "fix" it. Do you have any advice as to this product, or perhaps another one that would be good. Thank yo so much for your help.
14 Glycolic Acid
Hello there Meagan. Awhile back you approved a regimen for me that I asked about. Since then I've been having troubles, it worked great for awhile but then the benzoyl peroxide just became to much. I decided to move on to trying something else. I have a question about a cleanser though. I have very sensitive skin. Its combination, not dry but not oily. Its normally tight and uncomfortable which is what I hate. I'm pretty positive this is due to my cleanser. I have a box full of cleansers I've tried that all dry me out, some horribly, others not as bad. I was recently recommended Glycolic acid for my acne. Also recommended the Gly Derm line which is supposed to be great for sensitive skin. I was interested in the Gly Derm Gentle Cleanser. I was wondering if you think this is a good choice? I seriously have been through a lot of cleansers, pH balanced and pH at 8.0 or higher and still got dried out from both. All the reviews on every website I've been to read great about this particular cleanser. So what do you think? Thank you for your help.
15 Glycolic Acid
Hi Megan, You know I have been using the Peter Thomas Roth BHA/AHA acne clearing gel and PTR spot treatment to clear my adult acne. For the past 2 weeks, I have been consistently using it every morning. In addition, I have also been consistently using the PTR Un-Wrinkle Peel pads every night to treat my mild acne as well as rough skin that has developed (which I wonder why). My question is, at my age of 24, is using too many products with glycolic acid going to kill my skin in the long run? If so, what do you recommend I use to stop breaking out and get rid of roughness? I have been using these PTR products for about 2 months now and still see flare ups here and there and rough skin is just now calming down a bit. In addition, I have been using a retinol treatment from Philosophy every night and a moisturizer also from Philosophy every morning, that contains 2% salicylic acid. I am also having a hard time getting rid of the acne scarring (which I believe in time will fade). But for now, my main skin concern is skin roughness and stopping acne. I am hispanic, dark hair, drak eyes, fair/medium skin (tanned now due to Summer). Also, I should add that this problem started about this January - before this I never had any skin problems (always clear!) Please help. Thank you!
