Severe Cystic Acne Or Congested Skin? |
| | Since I've hit puberty my skin is horrible.I have large pores mostly in the Tzone.I have some dry,wrinkly skin around the forehead.The tzone is an oil slick most of the time.What bothers me most is my chin and nose,mostly my chin,has these bumps.They look like acne,and some times they get big and pus filled.My nose constantly has the white stuff and it gets big and pus like at times as well.Once they pop the original very noticeable bump is still there.I'm now 23 and tired.Please give me hope!Lately I've been leaning towards it just being congested.what products do you recommend?I've tried Proactiv,Phisoderm,Neutrogena Acne Kit,and Acne Free Kit for Severe Acne.The Acne free works the best but doesn't clear everything,but cleared a lot up.This came with the cost of super dry skin as well though. |

Fingernail Discoloration |

Toner Damage Sun Spots |
| | About a week ago I've noticed that the skin around my chin has become really red and flaky. [which i assume is due to excessive toner use] I tried to get rid of the dead skin by using a facial scrub but all that did was make the area redder and more sensitive. When my skin dried the area stayed flaky no matter how much i scrubbed. Now the area isn't red anymore but really dark. How do I get rid of these dark spots? |

| | I am 31. For yrs now I have a mass of lil bumps over my forehead and down the side of my face that never get a head on them, I've been told it's acne and no matter what I've tried over the yrs; the pill, antibiotics, change in diet, nothing seem to get rid of them. On the few times I've been prescribed antibiotics they only tend to work for awhile then not at all! The only time I seem to get a pimple that turns to a head is the odd occasion when I get a blind pimple ( normally right in the crease of my nose or on the rim of my top lip). I have out grown my fringe (bangs) fit years now as it seems to produce those spots on my forehead but even with no fringe they're still there. |

| | Hello, i have old scars (10 years) that used to be white, but now the pigmentation came back over time. I'm glad, but I'm also confused as to why that occurred because i was taught that white scars stay white forever because they lost pigmentation. Does this usually occur with old white scars? |

| | i was prescribed clindoxyl gel by my doctor for my acne. i have read it can darken skin because of it has 5% benzoyl peroxide. I have dark skin and i wanted to know if this product would darken my skin even more or cause brown spots from acne to say longer?

Accutane And Hair Loss |

I'm a twenty year old male, and I'm about to start my third cycle of Accutane.
The first two times I didn't experience any hair loss, but I've done extensive research online, and the horror stories I've read about others losing there hair for months, sometimes years on end, really is freaking me out.
My dermatologist says the percentage is very, very low that I will experience hair loss, but reading online testimonials I'm almost convinced that I'll experience some hair loss...
My question though is this:
If I didn't experience hair loss my first two cycles, is there still a chance I'll experience it during my third? |

PTR: Glycolic Acid Or Salicylic Acid ? |

Thank you for the reply to my last questions. It was very helpful! I was wondering...from the Peter Thomas Roth skin care line, would you recommend the Glycolic Acid Wash over the 2% Salicylic Acid Wash? I actually have been using the 2% Salicylic Acid Wash for about 3 months now and have not seen any major help with acne or skin roughness/bumpiness. Should I switch?
Also, should I get rid of my PTR Un-Wrinkle Peel Pads (used only at night) if I invest in the 3% Glycolic Acid Wash?
Lastly, would you recommend adding the Glycolic Acid Toner to my regimen or would this be an overkill?
