Hyperpigmentation Regimen

Hyperpigmentation, often referred to as age spots, sun spots, liver spots and melasma, is a condition that affects both men and women. Hyperpigmentation affects all parts of the face and can even appear on the body. Causes of hyperpigmentation are many, including cumulative sun exposure, certain medications, pregnancy, acne, scarring and overuse of certain skin care products or ingredients. Depending on how deep hyperpigmentation is located in the skin will determine how easily treated it is. If the hyperpigmentation is located deeper, in the dermis rather then the epidermis, then it will be harder to address; however, hyperpigmentation is definitely treatable.
