Kinerase

Dermatologist Review of Kinerase

anonymous  Verified Purchaser

Developed in conjunction with dermatologists, Kinerase is designed to help skin look and feel smoother, younger and healthier. Kinerase helps to diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and provides superior moisturization. Kinetin (N6-furfuryladenine) is the key to Kinerase's beneficial effects on skin's appearance. Kinerase contains the highest level of kinetin currently available in any formulation.

Kinerase is an exceptionally mild skin rejuvenator. It is uniquely formulated with safe and effective natural extract of the plant growth factor kinetin. Kinerase has been scientifically demonstrated to improve the skin's look, feel and moisture content.

Kinetin's story of discovery is extraordinary. That is why the folks at ICN, the makers of Kinerase, like to say that the science behind beautiful skin begins with a lesson from nature. It all started when scientists discovered a natural chemical compound called kinetin that protects leaves from drying and prematurely aging. Topical formulations of kinetin were studied in a scientific manner. Treated skin was shown to retain 15% more moisture after just 12 weeks. By 24 weeks, moisture retention was improved by an average of 25%. Furthermore, key measures of skin aesthetics such as fine wrinkles, color, texture and blotchiness were improved in a majority of study participants.

Kinerase is ideal for people of all ages and skin types who want to improve the visible signs of skin aging and sun damage. It's also for younger people who want to take a proactive approach to total skin wellness. Kinerase may be used to supplement any skin care regimen. It's also safe to use with Vitamin A products (retinoids) such as Tazorac, Differin, Retin-A and retinol or with glycolic acid-based skin care programs. Kinerase® can be used by those who are sensitive to or cannot tolerate retinoids. Kinerase® helps improve the appearance of fine wrinkles, rough skin, and hyperpigmentation. It is available in cream or lotion formulations and is both noncomedogenic (so it won't clog your pores) and hypoallergenic (so it is unlikely to cause an allergic reaction).

In addition, Kinerase provides extremely gentle moisturization for people with rosacea, eczema, and dermatitis as well as those who cannot tolerate retinoids. Irritation is minimal with Kinerase. Kinerase was tested against Cetaphil™ on a split face study of 30 subjects after microdermabrasion and found to be less irritating. Gentle, nonirritating moisturization is crucial after dermatological procedures such as microdermabrasion, laser resurfacing, and chemical peels because the skin is especially sensitive. If any of these special circumstances apply, ask your physician whether Kinerase cream or lotion is right for you.

Kinerase is designed for twice daily use. After mild cleansing, apply a dime-size amount of Kinerase cream or lotion on the face and neck and rub in thoroughly. Sunscreen and makeup can be applied immediately after you apply Kinerase. Kinerase does not cause photosensitivity (sensitivity to the sun). However, avoiding sun exposure is highly recommended for those with sun-damaged skin who want to prevent future damage. Dermatologists recommend that everyone use a sunscreen with at least SPF 15 on a daily basis. Kinerase wears well under makeup and most of the makeup formulations available at DermStore have a built in sunscreen factor.

Kinerase comes in two formulations for all skin types and climates.

Kinerase Cream and Lotion are favorites at California Skin Care Medical Group, Inc., DermStore's cosmetic dermatology and skin care clinic in downtown Redding, California. Kinerase is also very popular with patients in our uptown medical practice, Redding Dermatology.
