Having tried quite a few other primers I can say without skipping a beat that JI's Absence SPF15 is a quality product that delivers a smooth base for your mineral foundation...every time! It minimizes the larger pores on my nose to give me a very even textured and smooth skin. My husband says that I look radiant! Just follow the directions for a flawless base. Geraldine

Gives skin a nice matte finish, so foundation goes on more smoothly and stays oil-free all day. Would not dream of being without this product.

I like this product alot and helps cut down on the oilyness of my skin. I paint it on with a brush as a base, and then apply my Jane Iredale loose powder over it.

I use this product under the J.I. pressed powder. I have oily skin, and by the end of the day, my face looked shiny. The Absence keeps the oil from interacting with the powder, and my skin looks fresh all day.

A light application of Jane Iredale's Oil Control Primer (color- Absence) places a veil of perfection over my oily, acne-prone skin that lasts all day without smudging. The Absence color has a slight whitening effect on my medium-toned skin, but this is corrected when I apply my regular powder over it. It takes away the redness and evens out the tone and gives a fresh, youthful appearance. The oil-control aspect of the Primer is the best I've ever tried and never leaves a residue. The people at Jane Iredale are geniuses for creating a product that not only works incredibly well, but nourishes and protects the skin without harmful chemicals. Bonus - it smells divine!

Helps keep my makeup on all day! It's so great...when I don't use it my makeup is gone by noon. When I first started using it, my face wouldn't be oily all day but I think my new makeup is too oily or something but I have problems with oil again.

Absence works extremely well for skin that tends to be oily and have enlarged pores. It really helps to give the skin a more matte appearance and keep the shine away almost all day. It's also great for minimizing enlarged pores. Just use a small amount and blend it over your face well, then apply your foundation over it. Now that I've discovered it, I cannot live without this product.

Product provides a nice foundation for the other jane iredale products. The oil still comes through mid day but not as much as without the product.

This product definitely helps my foundation (JI Liquid Minerals) stay matte, but it also means my makeup doesn't feel as light as before. I'm a little worried that it's clogging my pores because I'm having some breakout issues, but I don't know for sure. The light is super-light...I'm fair, but if I do continue to use it, I will need to order the tan very soon (well before summer). All in all, it works...but I'm not totally sure it's worth it.

May be the wrong season to really give a test run on my nearly constant shine, but seems to work so far.
