Reviews of La Roche-Posay Anthelios 40 SPF 40

I love this product. I purchased it to take on a vacation in Europe and was really worried that it would cause me to break out. I had no breakouts and did not burn once.

I plan to use this as my everyday lotion from now on.

I think this sunscreen really works to keep off both UVA and UVB. My only gripe is it goes on somewhat white and can make me look a little pale for a while until it sinks in fully.

Great sunscreen. A little thick, but it works. I can't get any sun on my face and this one so far has been doing an awesome job.

It blocks out the sun for sure, but it is like glue! Very difficult to rub into my face and looks white no matter how hard I try to rub it in. WHen I sweat, it creates a milky looky substance on my face (the suncreen mixed with sweat) and it's embarrassing.

I really like the feel of the Anthelios spf 40. A little goes a long way in covering your entire face. It's not too thick, but it does take some smoothing into your skin to make the white disappear.

Unlike most products that provide this level of protection this is incrediably light and nongreasy. You are not left with a typical film. Hence, are you sure this is SPF 40?

i and all my sisters are dedicated fans of La Roche-Posay Anthelios. and can not do without. But this was the first time i ordered the 40. i prefer the 20. The 20 is a fabulous product and dispears into my skin where as the 40 looks like 'house paint'. I am pale skinned, do not sun and use the Anthelios 20 as my daily moisturizer. LOVE LOVE IT!

i like the product a lot, i've been using it for a number of years, my only complaint is that it's very thick and makes my face white, but i know it protects my skin and that's paramount

I really like La-Roche Posay and use multiple products by this company. I liked the Anthelios 15. This sunscreen is not at all like the Anthelios 15. I had also bought Anthelios 50 while I was traveling out of the country, so I was so excited to try the new Anthelios with SPF 40 since I need a higher SPF than 15 (and the 40 was not for sale when I bought the 15). It made my face look so white I had to wash it off, so I do not recommend this product.
