Reviews of Aquanil Cleanser

My mom's dermatologist recommended this cleanser for my red, dry skin. I started using it without water for the first week, just wiping it off with a clean cloth. Then I started cleansing normally with water, and have been really impressed with how gentle and good it feels. I would buy it again.

It's a great cleanser, without grease. It doesn't make me break out,but doesn't dry my face out.

Makes your face very clean and makes it feel very fresh. Don't have to use a lot of it to get a good wash. I will buy this again.

The product is a soap free, lipid free cleanser which can be used with or without water to gently clean away make-up or the daily elements that your "face" will encounter during the day. Can also be used as an all over body wash. Excellent for very sensitive or overly dry skin. It leaves your face/body feeling clean and without any film or residue. I had suffered for a few years with over sensitive skin, particularly on my face. Tried a ton of facial cleansers guaranteed not to irritate my face, none worked until Aquanil. Have not experienced any skin irritation, breakouts etc. since using this product. I have turned my three teenage children on to using it also! Has definitely helped to manage their "problem" skin areas.

A few months ago, my very sensitive skin got even more sensitive. A friend recommended this cleanser, and I've been using it consistently since then. No rosacea flare ups, no pimples, no nothing - other than clean, soothed skin. I do have to use an eye makeup remover but, other than that, all I've been using is this cleanser. I thought Cetaphil was gentle, but this is so much better.

I love this cleanser because it really cleans my face without drying it out. I'm able to use it twice a day without my skin becoming flaky,dry, and hard to manage.It doesn't get rid of my eye makeup fully but I didn't buy the cleanser for that purpose. I use it to cleanse my skin from impurities like dirt and to help keep the moisture in my skin because I also use acne medicated creams at night. If I use a regular cleanser plus my acne cream,it makes me breakout more with dry skin,and it makes it harder to apply makeup to cover up the pimples.

This cleanser is really gentle, my dermatologist recommended it to me and I switched from Cetaphil gentle cleanser. Cetaphil is gentle too but Aquanil cleans more thoroughly.

With Aquanil, I sometimes find myself washing my face more frequently to keep oil at bay, but it's worth it to have fewer breakouts and skin that isn't overly dry and flaking. My dermatologist recommended this years ago, and I should have just listened back then instead of trying a thousand other products.

this product works great for very sensitive skin. my skin doesn't get itchy, tight and red after using this. it cleanses nicely and leaves skin very soft. i have tried dozens and dozens of products through the years and am very happy with this,, i can't imagine using anything else...

I love everything about this cleanser. Its gel-like texture doesn't dry out my skin, and my rosacea has cleared up significantly since using this product. You do need a soft cloth to remove excess makeup, though.

I love the way it leaves my face feeling, never dry and tight. I just wish it would remove makeup better (but then it would be more harsh). So I use my makeup remover first, then follow with Aquanil Cleanser to finish washing my face.

All preventive measures had been tried, but my face still had red splotches. I did some research on roseacea and resigned myself to a life of trying to cover up a less than perfect skin. Tripped off to my dermatologist, who said "No, it is seborrheic dermititis, try this." He handed me a sample of Aquanil and demonstrated how to put a little on my hand then rub hands together to get a nice liquid for applying to my face. Since then, every night I use Aquanil to remove make-up. My facial skin is great and people take me for about 15 years younger than my actual age. I was glad when Aquanil finally became available in my local drug store.

After a laser face peel, the dermatologist recommended Aquanil Cleanser instead of bar soap because of it's gentleness to the skin. I'm sure it has some ingredients the dermtologist believes are good so that was the only recommendation I needed. It is very soft and soothing on the skin.

I live in a dry climate, and Aquanil is one of the few cleansers that keeps my skin soft throughout the day. Once I started using it, I tossed out other face soaps. Highly recommended.

I was going through a very tough episode of rosacea when this product arrived in the mail, along with the Aquanil Lotion HC that I had also ordered. The day I started using these products, my face was red, stinging, and flaky. I also suffer from break-outs caused by the rosacea and the medication I use dries out my skin. I began using the products on a Friday evening and by Sunday, the flakiness was completely gone and the redness was almost completely gone. Best of all, my face did not sting AT ALL after applying the cleanser or the lotion. I continued using the cleanser and the lotion everyday for nearly two weeks so that the flakiness would not come back. Now, I use the cleanser twice a day and I use the lotion several times a week...especially when the day will be arid (as opposed to a normally humid day in Austin, Texas).
