this perfume is of a very nice quality; however, i would describe the scent as a fresh verdant and herb rather than lemon and orange. quite frankly, to me, it smells like rosemary, lavender, thyme and verdant olive tree leaves. it smells as if you are walking through an orchard of olive trees early in the morning while the dew drops from the night before are still clinging to the trees and their leaves. it is the fresh scent of the olive tree leaves with dew that dance through your olfactory system with the fragrance of rosemary, thyme and lavender making you feel fresh and cared for. this perfume is definitely a throwback to another time. the disappointing part about this frangrance to me was that i found the scent not to linger on the body. i sprayed myself and after a few seconds i could not even smell it on my skin. if i am going to pay good money for an old world scent, i want it to envelope me and stay there. another positive i forgot to mention is the economical size of the bottle. the fact that you get 3.3 fl. oz. is great for the price. also, i would be remiss not to say that you get beautiful french manufacturing with this cologne. a true luxury of an earlier time.
