Keeps eyeshawdon on! by anonymous

I love the Paula Dorf eye primer. It evens out the eyes and makes eyeshadow stay all day! Easy to apply, good overall color tone. You can't use it without shadow, however, too moist.

Totally agree...this stuff is the best!! by DA
Could not live without this primer...no exaggeration. You are wasting you eyeshadow otherwise. With this product you apply one thin coat and then do not have to use as much shadow to get coverage and even application. Keeps multiple colors in place. I will caution you, this product will let you know if your eyeshadow is low quality. You have to get an eyeshadow of premium quality for best results...yes, a department store brand. Paula Dorf's primer brought to my attention that Smashbox eyeshadows are on the low end...not finely milled. Eventhough they have lip and eyeliner products that I love, I will not longer waste money on the shadows. Thank you Paula!

For best results a very tiny amount of this product should be applied and then blended well before eye makeup be applied. This will ensure absorption of the product as well as its staying capabilities.

Smooth Eye Primer by anonymous

A terrific base for eyeshadow! by anonymous

This primer is a great base and makes my eyeshadow's color look more deep and rich, while making it last all day long. I use my finger to smooth it on my lids.

Not an effective Eye Primer by anonymous

This eye primer's first and third ingredients are Beeswax and Petrolatum. The latter being basically vaseline. Now how could an eye primer keep eye lids from getting oily and keep eye shadow in place and fresh all day? This is impossible with wax and vaseline. I do not recommend this product in the least.

This product does work very well for many consumers based on product preference. Beeswax is used as it keeps eye shadows in place once they are applied. This product should be applied very sparingly for best results.

Eye primer... by anonymous

I didn't like this product at all. It is possible that I am still putting on too much, but I'm barely tapping the brush into the pot and I still am getting eyeshadow creases by midday. And the color fades. Right after I put it on, it feels greasy, even though I make sure not to put moisturizer on my eyelids. I was using Urban Decay and found it to be too drying, but at least the eyeshadow stayed in place.

Try applying this product with your finger tip instead of a brush as a makeup brush can hold onto the product which makes it so more product is applied. Also try to use only a very small amount, follow with a base eyeshadow and then your desired colors for the day.
