Reviews of MD Forte Glycare Cleansing Gel

I love this product. It cleanses my face so well that I rarely (if ever) have breakouts, even during my period. This soap works so well that I had assumed I grew out of my adult acne after using it for 8 years. Recently, to economize I tried using an off the shelf face soap from a retail store. My face started breaking out and I immediately went back to MD Forte.

The acid in the cleansing gel sting a little but I know that it is working and my skin is remarkably soft and subtle

Product works fine. Good texture, virtually odorless. I like the effect, and it works quickly. My dermatologist recommends it and I will agree that it's a perfectly satisfactory product.

This product worked great on evening out my skin tone and shrinking my pores. But my skin did not react that good to the product after 3 weeks of use. My skin is fairly sensitive to any type of AHA acids.

I would use AHA in a mask product instead. I went back to my tea tree oil product and works great.

this clear gel is concentrated - you don't need a lot. a little goes a long way and gets the job done effectively.

up to now, i've scrubbed my face clean with a strong drug-store acne cleanser and a washcloth which usually left my face red. with this cleanser, i rub it into my skin (for less than a minute) and rinse with clean water. i like the glycolic acid ingredient because i'm both oily and getting some lines and i feel like glycolic combats both.

I really like that it helps to reduce the oil on my skin.

I liked MD Forte cleansing lotion, but the gel is even better.

I love the fact that this product will clear any acne problem or oil problem, and your skin feels so clean and healthy after using this cleansing gel. You will not be disappointed, I promise.

I really like the consistency of the product. It is thick like a high quality dishwashing liquid so that it can be managed in your hands or facial sponge and doesn't just run off your face. It does work well although a different reviewer wrote that they used a different product as sort of a "pre-cleanser" to improve the overall effectiveness and I also do that and find it does work better if you use something else to remove the majority of the oil/dirt from your face first...after all this is a product for people with oily skin. It shouldn't really be necessary to do that but what the heck, right?

I'm 25 and a LONG time sufferer of acne. I've tried it all and nothing worked - Proactiv, facials (only helped temporarily), topical prescriptions, birth control, anything and everything over the counter. My facial expert recommended MD Forte to me and I'm so glad she did - within a week I noticed a difference. I've been using this product for about 4 weeks and my skin isn't where I would like it but it's definitely an improvement.

I'm 39 and have been using glycolic and salicylic acid products for several years. So this shouldn't have been a shock to my skin, but wow. One quick wash of my face three days ago and the skin on my face (and my hands, from putting it onto my face) is still flaking. I figured a face wash is on and off your skin, so that would limit the time it has to make an impact. I'm just glad it wasn't a lotion that I would have left on all night! If you're looking for something VERY strong, this is it. The good points: you need only the tiniest amount, it rinses off easily, and the smell isn't offensive.
